The Dark Academy on Korriban

Zeno stood in the military transport with the rest of the team, holding an overhead ring for stability. It was a shaky ride, but he'd dealt with such before in training. His tuk'ata helmet was on already, expecting the blast of sand to the face when the door eventually opened. He tapped the bone comlink button on his helm to connect to the pilot as he felt the ship land.

"We'll call for the pickup when we're ready. Safe flying," he says to the man in control of the vessel. He looked to his fellow looters.

"Ready?"

Shaisha didn't wear a fancy helmet, but she had put on her breather mask, which was hidden under a black scarf, and wore plain goggles to protect her eyes. As they arrived, she held tightly onto her hood.

She felt like shit after last night, and underneath it all, she probably looked like weary and exhausted, but she still gave a positive signal in return that she was ready.

Siena was there, respirator mask and lightsaber at the ready. She concentrated, and extended her senses and.... wow, this is not gonna be easy.

There was a blinding light in the future, and with a sigh, she decided to allow some of it in. She needed this.

"What do your senses tell you, Sin?" Shaisha asks, keeping close to the group as they make their way forward.

Sinea feels a tugging through the force and a sensation of anticipation not so much a vision but a feeling of distinct feeling of having walked these steps before.

Sinea tentatively started moving forward. "Strange... feel as though I've been here before. Anything in specific that we are looking for? I've tried pinpointing 'treasure', but with little success. Control room, old data, riches, anything in particular?"

"Korriban is strange in many ways," she nods understandingly. She knew all about the feeling of strange deja vu.

"We're looking for objects of value in this wreck; we've found aurum, but the ideal goal would be to find anything of old that they tried to smuggle - weapons, artifacts, armor, relics..." Shaisha listed the ideas they've had, hoping that gave a cleared picture.

"Hm, let's see if we can find some kind of artifacts..." that was a selfish one of course, that was what interested her the most.

Zeno followed along. He had run into centuries old war droids that activated at a moment's notice, so he kept close to the two in case any of the ships automated defenses decided they didn't like their presence.

Or in case any beasts were taking shelter from the storm within the wreckage.

His shoto were in hand and his senses were on alert.

They travel back down the ruined hallways and following the sith seer and with Zeno and Shaisha so well armed creatures have little chance to pose a threat. They reach the bridge, after forcing the door open with strength and lightsabers they find the sealed chamber is like a tomb.

The bridge is line with busted old terminals that have no power and a raised central area with a single command chair and moldering corpse still seated for whatever last battle this ship had.

There is a feeling of melancholy in the air, some deep rooted sadness.

With her shoto drawn and ready, Shaisha carefully approaches the command chair for a closer look.

The sadness, the melancholy... it was such an unusual sensation to experience on Korriban. It made her think back to what she had felt last night.

Sadness.... melancholy. Welp, death was rarely fun. Once again, she reached out into the Force.

"Something Force related should be here, somewhere."

Feeling the permeating effect in the air, Zeno nods back to Sinea when she speaks.

He focuses in to help pinpoint what might be the source our cause of it.

While Zeno and Sinea let the Force guide them, Shaisha trusted in her natural senses to be her guide as she got close to the corpse in the command chair.


(OOC: Using 1 Destiny to our benefit. Mama needs... a lot of stuff. )

Tapping into the force they can feel the sadness of doom, impending and unalterable doom. In the captain’s chair is a corpse in a poor state, difficult to determine species or gender but there is a smaller creature in the lap, a child and very young. A lightsaber is clutched in the hands of the corpse in the chair.

Sinea looked at the lightsaber. "I'm not touching that. Not with that sense of doom. Can anyone pull it?"

"I guess..." Shaisha looks at Sinea, a bit surprised, then back at the scene. A child?

Reaching out through the Force, she feels the lightsaber and pulls it towards herself, readying one of the pockets in her belt.

As the lightsaber moves from the corpse, Zeno's senses refocus on defending himself. His lightsabers light up just in case and he steps between the corpse and his companions.

(OOC: Sense committing again)

With the removal of the lightsaber the corpses fall to the floor.

"Light it up," Zeno says to Shaisha, before heading towards anything resembling a console.

Shaisha nods and catches the lightsaber as it drifts towards her. Once in her hands, she lights it up.

The lightsaber ignites without a sound, no real hum with a ghostly yellow-orange light. Moving it back and forth creates strange after images that dazzle and confuse the eye on where the blade actually is. The hilt is cold steel but comfortable in the hands with a molded grip.

The ship shudders for a moment with dust and pieces of ceiling falling to the floor.

"Not ideal," he says. "You have that fusion lantern you said you were buying?"

The shudder of the ship caught her attention... and she let the blade of the lightsaber die down. Now was not the time to be distracted by this find. The so far best find that she could claim that wasn't just aurum.

"Yeah, got it right here," she hoists the pack down from her back underneath the robes. "Was told it could power all sorts of stuff."

"Bring it over here and let's see if we can get the console up," he says.

He opens up one of the panels under the console and goes about the busy work of trying to get it up and running again. Unfortunately the systems are too aged and Zeno does not recognize all the wiring patterns to get it up and running.
