The Dark Academy on Korriban

Niriti reached the room and threw her bag on the bed. It was full of all that she needed for the trip, as well as all that she had collected in her time in the planet of Korriban. She had hoped to achieve more, but she left behind a new source of power for herself, one that maybe she could return to. She thought about all that she could achieve from the new business in Korriban, laying on her new bed, when the door slid open.

After doing some maintenance work around the ship, Remmington heads back to the room after a quick shower. He smiles affectionately at Niriti. "Hey babe. How are you finding the ship so far?"

"Well we just started." She sighed as she lift her head from the bed towards the door, and then rolled to one of her sides. "It's going to be a long trip to Yavin IV, so I better get used to it. I just wished there was something else to do but sit around. I mean, you get to work on reparations." She yawned, it had been a long day, some parts of it she still had to get a grip of in her own mind, and the repercussions where still unclear. "And I keep thinking that Yavin is going to be a tough test for us all, specially for me."

Remmington chuckles a bit and walks up and sits on the edge of her bed like it is the most natural thing to do. "Well the trip is long I admit but think of this not as an obstacle of a cleverly disguised opportunity. I am sure you can work you magic on some of the people here."

He puts a hand gently on the blanket which is covering her side. "Plus if you are really that bored I am more than happy to give you a work out anytime." He flashes a mischievous smile.

"We will see what the Academy throws at us on Yavin. Though if you need me then I shall be there for you Niriti. So just team up me whenever we get a chance and I'll keep you safe."

"I always count on your company, Remmy." She replied with a glow. "But we are not alone in the room, and someone might come in on us." She added with a playful tone, really unconcerned about being caught. "but we can wait for that a bit. You think you have the required survival skills and endurance to withstand the wild Yavin IV?"

Remmington smiles back mischievously. "Maybe I want them to watch... or perhaps join in." He teases a bit.

To her more serious question he ponders that. "Hmm... I cannot say for sure. My knowledge base is more tech-centric. Though I have my lightsaber. The scanner goggles and spacesuit that you helped me pick up should prove useful. I have already been getting some mileage on them."

"If you get injured, come see me and I will see what I can do." He then says confidently. "Not that I will allow harm to come your way in my company love."

She pulled him closer to her, pulling his arm towards her, and she dropped her head on his lap. "You pamper me too much." She seductively added. "We don't know what awaits us there, if we have to work in groups, pairs or alone, but it's good to know that I will have you close by."

"I've lived in a swamp, so I know a bit about survival. Would had loved to get some survival kits before taking the flight, but my credits weren't enough to get them. I did try getting some extra equipment."

Remmington strokes her head gently as she lays it down on his lap. "I thought you loved being pampered." He teases her a bit.

"My homeworld is a pretty cold one in comparison. We'll find a way to survive this and graduate." He reassures her with a confident nod. "By the way, what have you been up to Niriti? Keeping busy?"

"I do, don't get me wrong, I just state the facts. You are getting me on the habit of your pampering, and now I will force you into pampering me." Niriti was rather low on her emotions tonight, and Remmington could tell easily. Something was going on in her mind. Probably the thought of Yavin. "Busy... yes, very. Might not be able to return to Korriban in a long long time. Probably should keep far away."

"Well I will pamper you for the rest of your life if you like." Remmington touches her face. Gently stroking her cheek with his fingers.

"Did something happen on Korriban?" He asks a little concerned.

"I tried to get rid of an imperial agent, and he turned out to be stronger than expected." She related. "Then when I was finally getting advantage, I heard footsteps from the reinforcements, and had to get away. And now I owe money and have an imperial enemy."

"Why were you trying to get rid of an Imperial agent?" Remmington asks being sympathetic. "Well if it is an enemy of the Empire maybe I can help you? How much do you owe?"

"The acquisition of the business was a costly one, and to overpass the costs I was asked to get rid of the opposing supplier. This imperial officer is my business competition."

"Is this man a traitor to the Empire?" Remmington asks with a gentle nod. "As for the business I can venture a guess but how soon do you need to repay this debt?"

"I'm not aware of the time I have to pay it off, but I am not counting on the patience of the Hutts." She scratched her head thinking on what could be the expected time for her payment. At least she should pay some part of it as soon as possible, and the crystal could be of use for that.

"Not sure if the imperial was really a traitor to the Empire, but being a smuggler, I would believe that the Empire probably has some thoughts about that."

"I guess it is too late to take him out?" Remmington asks.

He closes his eyes for a moment. He makes a decision in his mind and opens them to look seriously at Niriti. "Sell it. Sell the crystal to some acolyte with too much money and no luck with getting their hands on one already. You will probably get a better price than from a merchant. That should buy you some time with the Hutts."

"Well from here it would be very difficult, unless I got a bounty hunter to kill him while I'm here, but I don't have the money for that either."

"That was my idea, but most students are penniless. If I can sell the crystal then I could be able to get enough to keep the Hutt happy, although I'm getting the idea that they aren't very fond of delays or sweet stories."

"Well if he is a traitor then I will help out if I can." Remmington remarks.

"The crystal sale should buy you some time. I am sure that we will think of something to help with your credit problem." He leans in to kiss her on the cheek.

"How about the business? Is it making money at least? Or do you not actually get control of it until you pay the Hutts?"

"It's made some meager benefits, but I'm counting on getting a bit more done once the Academy is finished and I can settle into the business, and maybe get this commercial antagonist solved."
