"Maybe. Though if everyone stayed on like that after death, the galaxy would be populated by ghosts everywhere. I guess they must've felt strongly about their situation, right before they died..." she thinks about what might've been going through their minds in the moments before death. The place had seemed so sad, rather than full of anger or rage at how life had given them this ending.

"Do you sing? Apart from what I heard earlier."

"When I'm drunk... or in the shower," he says. "But I'm usually not good at it. That song though. I've heard it and sung it more times than I can count."

Her smile was evident in her voice.

"It wasn't bad. I guess feelings mattered more than skill at the time too... and for a child, a parent's voice can be the most soothing, even if it can't carry a tune."

"Well, I'm not sure if I quite have the parenting instinct to know about all that. When I was singing it was as much for my sister as it was for that child," he replies.

"Did you parents ever sing for you?" she asks after some more silence, her finger swiping over her datapad to find more music to listen to.

"Mother did," he replied. "That same song frequently. I memorized that song before I memorized the Sith code," he says with a slightly forced chuckle, trying to bring the mood up a bit.

"Ah, I see," she chuckles sweetly. "And here I was learning the Sith Code at that age. Not that I really understood most of it when I could recite it on my own... which put me about on par with some of the more lackluster aspirants here."

"Yes. It is a shame about the quality of some of the aspirants that have been sent during this particular class."

"Can't blame some of them from coming from less illustrious backgrounds, but some do not even seem to make an effort into learning. As Lord Savas would say," she breathes in, then does her best impression of Savas' raspy voice, "'there's more to being a Sith than just lightsabers'."

"It's why I'm glad I've met people like you, at least, who will go on to become a great Sith."

He smirks at the imitation. "Well, he might say that about me... I am a bit obsessed. Even the other disciplines I practice tend to be focused on enhancing my ability to fight."

"A Sith's duty is to ultimately fight against the Jedi, so there is that," she smirks. "I should probably focus myself even more in that regard, as I've felt I might've spread myself out too much in trying to accomplish too many things at once."

"There's something to be said for flexibility though," he says with a roguish smile and let's that hang for a second.

"When you are too focused you tend to need assistance from others for a great many things," he replies.

"And be a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none, you have a hard time against an expert," she smirks, giving him a very knowing look. She had no doubts that a match between her and Zeno would be very one-sided, having seen him in action against Death's Shadow, after all.

"Even if I do like to pride myself on being flexible, but you get credit for the solution earlier today. Clever thinking there."

"Well, fortunately that didn't really take any specialized skill. I do tend to be able to think outside the box fairly well. A trait that is favorable for combat pilots," he says with a nod. "But i'd have never found that cache alone, and without you there, i'd have probably destroyed half the aurum and maybe a crystal getting at it. So you can understand why I am not necessarily a fan of doing everything myself."

He takes his arm from around her and hops down, moving to stand in front of her face to face. "Everything is better when done with others." He reaches up to her cheek and kisses her on her forehead.

"But I wasn't studying for nothing, check this." He hands her one of his sabers, recently heavily modified.



He steps away and pulls out a toolkit from beside the crate and pops it open, setting the other saber on top. It was similarly curved with bone embellishments but was missing a piece that he pulled out of the toolbox.

"Just a bit more work to do on it," he says with a grin at her. "But I can talk while working."

Crossing her legs, Shaisha sits on top of the crate as she looks at Zeno work. "Want me to find some suitable music for you while you work then?" she asks, flipping through her own music library.

"I wouldn't want to impose on your work too much, after all."

"That would be great sweetums," he says with a chuckle. "Can I call you sweetums? Or will I get stabbed with my own saber if I do that again." He smiles over at her before going back to his mod.

"Oh, you won't be stabbed by your own saber," she replies with a venomous sweet smile. "You just won't wake up again."

Shaisha hit the Shuffle Play button, and found the random song to be suitable.

"I think if I fell asleep next to you I'd be okay with that," he replies, with a sweet, innocent smile. "But if you insist. What pet name would you prefer?"

He keeps his hands busy with his work.

"Shaisha will suffice," she retorts with a wry smile. "I'm not overly fond of pet names for myself."

"Good song," he says. "Well then Shaisha, if you want you can call me Cutie McMurderface... but only in public." He grins at his tools.

"I'll remember that," she laughs a little. "You do look like a Murderface too, so I guess it is a suitable name for you."

"Darth Murderface."

"Oh, no. When I am a Darth I will be known as Darth Sunshine. Because you'll be able to see the sunshine through the hole I leave in my enemies' chests."

"Rather sunny name for a Darth, no? Even in that context," Shaisha replies with a grin. "Almost all the Darths have some sort of dramatic name."

"I guess I'll have to just one up all of them and be Darth Dramatic," he replies. "Are you going to make everyone call you Darth Shaisha?"

"No," she shakes her head. "But I'll think of something suitable for me for the day I become a Darth. Darth Genius, maybe?"
