The Dark Academy on Korriban

Jo'ren tucked the holocron safely into his robes then pulled the goggles down to hang around his neck.

"Sure thing. Punch it Reasons."

He moved back to the doorway so that he could see her down there in the cockpit.

She nods and some of the lights flicker on and basic systems buzz to life briefly. There is a soft hum of power for essential systems but the lights flicker. She says, “Best we can get, find anything useful?”

She starts heading back towards him.

"Nice. Any chance you can pull information of the main computer?"

He leaned in the doorway as she moved up to him.

"There were a bunch of damaged items in the sleeping quarters." He reached into his pack and pulled out a datapad. "Couple of these, maybe you can get something off them? There was a lab that got smashed up in the crash. Might be some more sections back here I haven't looked in yet."

(OOC: Are there still some rooms left to examine?)

“Just a small area to access the engine, pretty tight quarters but I guess if it is just you and a droid you don’t need much. Probably landed at a location did research and then went to another, jump capable but not all that advanced.”

She heads back to the cockpit taking the damaged datapads and says, “I got the data, it’s pretty fragmented. Take a while to decode. Probably sell the location to scavengers for the scrap, make some quick money. You?”

"Sounds good, make sure they give you a good deal for the location. I won't tell anyone where it is, so no need to worry about that." He pondered his next moves. "I'm thinking I'll turn the data on the pads and computer over to the Academy and see if it's of use to any of the Sith academics. Unless there's something else I can use on there."

He looked down at the bones of the Jedi Master. "Kind of surprised there wasn't a lightsaber with the pilot. Maybe it's still buried in the dirt, or maybe it fell out like the droid. I did find something else though, I'm just not sure what the fuck a Jedi was doing with it." He pulled out the holocron and peered at it more closely to check the damage. "Guess he might have found it somewhere else and just happened to have it on board?"

“I don’t know what that is,” she says looking at the holocron.

"No reason why you would. It's a Sith device called a holocron. Kind of an archive of information that's run by a digitised personality. Runs on technology and the force. Seems to have some damage from the crash. Maybe it can be repaired? Hell, maybe it still works?"

He looked at it, turning it with care, running his fingers over the surface, and trying to draw on the force to activate the thing.

It resonates but nothing happens.

Reasons shrugs and says, “How much could we get for it?”

Jo'ren shrugged. "Nothing, it's broken. Unless you can fix one of these? I'll probably need to take it to Savas and ask for his help." He replaced it in his cloak.

"Any idea how long it'll take to decode the data?" He looked back up the length of the ship. "I guess I should check out the engine room just in case."

“Guessing 15 or so,” she responds.

“Engine is fried, but maybe we can salvage something.”

He nodded approvingly. "Great. Okay then Reasons, let's see if there's anything left to salvage in the engine room while we wait."

A thought occurred to him and he pulled out his communicator. "I wonder..." He sent off a text message to @darthjerkface:

-Still alive, thanks for checking in. Mandalorian situation resolved. Did you ever know someone called Tuli Vindo? Oh, and I don't suppose you know how to fix a holocron do you?-

He replaced the commlink in his utility belt and went up toward the engine room. "Maybe the door will actually open this time?"

The door does open and out tumbles a great deal of sand onto Jo’ren and the Mandalorian. She adds, "I am so glad this suit is vacuum sealed, sand is the worst.”

The big sith just laughed. "Yeah that armour looks a bitch to clean. Okay, anything left in here that isn't sand?"

The two of them can probably take a thorough look around the ship to double check they didn't miss anything before the data slice is finished I guess?

She pulls out a data card and hands it off, “For your trouble, sand man.”

“Sliced data from the ship; I get the scrap, sound good?”

Jo'ren nodded, took the chip and offered his hand. "That works for me Reasons. Nice working with you. You ever want to tell me your real name, or work together again some time, here's my comm channel."

He grinned. "Need a lift or have you got transport around here somewhere? Storm's coming in."

“I got my ship in orbit, just waiting to pick me up.” She opens a holo display on her wrist armor and says, “Guiding it in, now.”

“I’ll think about it, Sith. It has been a pleasure working with you,” she says taking the information.

"Alright then, until next time." He gave her a nod and left the wreck behind. He posted the holocron and the datachip, deciding he would examine them in his room away from the threat of an imminent storm.
