The Dark Academy on Korriban

Having missed his target, but managed not to injure himself horribly, Jo'ren eventually made his way into the base camp. The 'chute was repacked and slung over his shoulder and he wore a scowl as he entered the area that had been cleared. The only thing that was really injured was his pride.

First he walked to the quartermaster and handed over his base jumping gear in exchange for his own equipment. Then he walked over to the tents (or whatever had been say up for then) and gathered his wits.

2 successes, 4 advantage = stress reduced from 5 to 3, or 2 if I can use Second Wind (1/ Encounter)

Zeno exited his tent, already having taken care of all that stuff, but still in full travel mode, pack and weapons and armor. He planned on living in it for the rest of the trip. When he saw the fellow favored student of Jaina he approached. "Aspirant Rath."

Oh good.

Jo'ren's expression was somewhat sour, but it was probably just the lateness of his arrival. What else could it be? Perhaps he had lost his sense of humour in the jungle.

He nodded. "Aspirant Deathwright. You look chipper."

"Of course I am. I'm back on Yavin IV," he says. "I love this place. All sorts of trouble to get into," he says with a smirk. "This place wants to kill us almost as much as Korriban. Good memories here."

"Hmm." He narrowed his eyes a little at that.

"So, you've been before. Yes, I've read all about the place. And now I've seen it at progressively closer scales."

He dusted some life off his sleeve.

"Fine. So why were you here before?"

"Part of Deathwright training. Two weeks of planetary flight training in jungle environments," he replied. "We were in a different hemisphere from this spot though so the immediate area is unfamiliar."

"We were lucky. We only lost two trainees. Went pretty well."

He hated himself for asking but it felt as though the conversation was just happening and he was a passenger.

"Deathwrights. Yeah. I don't recall meeting any before. You're all pilots then?"

What do you think Gerry? Turbolaser to the face?

"Not all, but a pretty massive number. Could nearly man a fleet," he says. "Something nice about having that many people watching your back," he says.

"Parents leveled a city once in less than 48 hours over one murder," when he says that his face shows a bit of pain. Maybe a sense of loss?

"So you've never been here before. Where have you been?"

"Yeah, I guess so." He imagined a fleet full of guys like Zeno. Better that they were on the same side.

"You know I can understand how your parents felt. Must be nice to have that much firepower available when you need it.". That would deal with Zash, surely?

"No, never to Yavin. Many other places though. Raths are often wanderers, and my father liked to take us off into the wilderness on planets most people had never heard of."

"Sounds exciting. Bet you've faced plenty of challenges across many worlds. Always more exhilarating to get to learn hands on."

"Yeah. It was a good way to grow up. Took time to get used to being in one place." He cracked his neck muscles. "Did a lot of running, swimming, hiking, climbing. Meeting exotic aliens, killing some of them. That sort of thing.". He stated working on his shoulders.

"Figured out where you'll go when you graduate yet?" If you don't have a nasty 'accident'.

"I'll likely see if Lord Zash will allow me to work with the Farro to explore th Korriz system for lost lore and relics," he says. "But she may have other plans. What of you? Do you have a master yet?"

A stream of thoughts too profane for a forum game passed through Jo'ren. He attempted to maintain some sort of decorum.

"Figures." Eating the souls of loyal Imperials probably takes some amount of planning.

"Me? Yes I do. Won a fair duel to take it. Expect I'll be seeing a lot of action."

"One of the masters heavily involved in the war effort then? That had been my initial hope and expectation as well. But fate pulled me a different direction. I am sure you'll get many republic kills."

The two Sith locking horns didn't look like something Moyr wanted to take after her jungle run. The thermal clothing was sucking up most of the sweat and provided cooling, and the breathing tubes prevented her from choking on over-humid air, but she was still very uncomfortable. The damn rapid climate change coupled with rapid stress hormones release had just triggered her cycle. The head bruise still pulsated, though cognitive distortions largely had passed. Still, she felt like killing anything that would even be slightly obnoxious.

Pulling to the side, she flopped under a tree that provided some shade, not even caring to get her ration or find the tent, or report. She got out the water container and started draining it, trying to get some reprieve. It mostly worked, and she calmed down. The only discomfort left was the menstrual one, but to remove that one she needed to wash.

Hahaha.

Baesal, her arm still in plaster, had taken her droids back and thus her footsteps were accompanied with Victoria's heavy stomps and R5's light tick. On arrival she looked around and spotted Moyr

''Hey there, how was the flight?''

"Flight was good. Landing was not."

She looked up, sighing.

"Just a hit in the head. You broke something, Baes?"

"Yes. Exactly." He gave Zeno a cool stare. "Fate huh?"

She looks ather arm before returning to Moyr

''Yeah...but it could have been way worst...do you want R5 and I to look at the pretty nuggin' of yours?''

"Please. It's weird to be seeing this many stars in daylight. it's passed for now but maybe because I keep my tush locked to the ground."

Some distress showed in her smile.

''Sure thing'' Baesal said in a appeasing tone.

Baesal began applying the helaing paste under R5's guidance then bandaged the twilek's head

''There, you should feel better''

"Mmmm, bacta. Thank you, darling."

Moyr rejoiced at the cooling paste drawing the buzz in her head away. She sighed in relief. Appetite returned.

"Lunch?"

"Gladly!" She says her stomach rumbling in agreement.

"Hell of an exercice, is it not?"

"Maybe send one of the droids for our rations."

Moyr patted the ground next to her.

"We live, mostly unharmed. But this is going to be our little survival camp so I guess more hell will be invited upon us, and soon."

"R5, it would be greatly appreciated if you could get our rations for us."

She then sat beside Moyrs where indicated

"You have no idea"
