"Promised?" She asked idly?

"To strengthen each other. To push ourselves beyond what we can do now, and find a better future." He said. "I did let you live after all." He said with a chuckle.

"Let me live?" She quirked an eyebrow and let her smile grow a touch more devilish. "I must have ztill been in the void vhen ve made zhat. Vell, it zounds beneficial, and iz a bargain I have made vith others."

He chuckled, "Amorous one aren't we?"

He then lifted himself up on top of her and gave her a passionate kiss.

"I like it." He said with a mischievous grin.

"Oh please," she replied with a sardonic smile, "You capital boyz. Trust me, ve wiew vhat just happened in vwry divverent vays. A pleasing distraction, but it ultimately has nothing to do vith zhe pact."

A hand lightly traveled up from his navel to his sternum, "But I have found you boys much more complimentary after zuch pleasure."

"Perhaps we have a soft-spot for such recreation." He chuckled. "But either way, the results are the same. So I'm pleased."

"Follow zhe vays of House Farro, und you vill learn a great deal...azzuming your new master vill let you go. Und," she added curving her fingers, to let her nails rake into the imperial, "I let you know now, my great-grandmuter does not suffer spies."

He smiled and grabbed her wrists tightly, "No need to spy if she's forthcoming and helpful."

"I vas more zpeaking of your master. Lord Baras' temperament iz known to uz even on Korriz. Und now you are v'one of his. Zhat comes vith benefits und detriments."

He smiled, "I can assure you I am no spy of Baras'. I am his apprentice, which means I obey until I am given the opportunity to overthrow him. If people provide anything that helps me accomplish that, I am quite eager to repay them when he is gone."

"Be sure to keep that in mind. Mein great-grandmuter is a voman of unfathomable powver. She can reach into your mind and know your deepest thoughts. She could make you dance like a puppet, or simply kill you with a whim. Always be straightforward with her. Lies and chicanery are useless."

He smiles, "If she were look in my mind she'd find nothing but contempt for Baras and his games."

"Zhen vhy are you his apprentice?" She asked genially, as though the answer was only mildly interesting to her.

"Power. And gives me proximity." He replied as he began putting on his clothes.

"Friends close, und all zhat," she commented idly not bothering to move. She was quite comfortable on her own bed. She merely looked up to the basin where it rested at her bedside.

"A cup for zhe road?" She teased with a Cheshire grin.

He chuckled, "None of that concoction, normal tea or water if you had some... Your... umm... fluids were able to take the taste out of my mouth, but the damn stuff feels like it's still coating my throat."

"It can have zhat effect. I'm afraid you'll have to go to zhe vashroom in order to get zome vater. I've none here." She sat up on her elbow peering at the basin. "I zhink I made it too strong. I may have gone overlong on my recitations, refined it a bit too much. In essence it is a Dark Side poison, but if one keeps channeling powver into it, it becomes...." she hesitated trying to find the right words that he might understand.
