Veers limps and says, “My patience for humor is minimal, twi’lek.”

She scowls and then slips on some rocks and collapse to the ground scattering her makeshift crutch and lightsaber.

"Okay fine, whatever. That way then."

Then Veers went invalid on them.

Layne stopped, retrieving the scattered lightsaber and crutch and offering them back to 'veers'.

"If you need a rest..."

just don't bite my head off for showing some consideration.

Veers bites back venomous words and takes the lightsaber first and then the crutch and says, “Thank you.”

"Can you move again? I'm kind of shit at first aid..."

...and I really don't want to have to carry you.

“I can make it, just have to watch my step, this is not the sturdiest of sticks,” she says with determination.

“Yavin is already my least favorite planet.”

"Alright, let's move then?" she looked toward Moyr for confirmation.

Moyr was about to throw a rant on how touching from a point of view she as a Sith did not share the scene of sisterly care and affection was, but both other women were so quick to exchange their emphatic feelings that she couldn't intercede. She was also about to walk away from these two to sort out their tolerance for weakness between themselves, but this also didn't happen. The question caught her standing. She shrugged and nodded.

"You made an offer to me a few weeks ago, Anya Veers. I'll help you today but I expect you to deliver on that in a way I can appreciate. Let's move on. You'll get a stim if you need it, and some medical assistance when we find a proper place. There is no strength in accepting weakened body as your benchmark."

"An offer?" she said, looking between the two with a slightly suspicious frown on her face.

Does she know?

“Afraid you’re not my favorite, little cousin,” Veers says through gritted teeth.

“I hold to my word, twi’lek. I have trod many dark roads and I know secrets that could scour your soul. Layne knows well the depth of my power, don’t you?”

"The fuck are you two talking about?"

Veers laughs and says, “You’re cute when things go over your head.”

"And for all your power you are still afraid of expiring with this now crippled body. In the Black Vault I realised you're a creature of another time. I am not really interested in details, keep those secrets, which you apparently share with aspirant Hoshin."

Moyr started blazing the trail.

"Scour my soul, you say? Probably. I am not as potent yet with the Dark Side as I want to be. You've shown your power. But there was also this moment in the Vault when you were afraid, and I wasn't."

She proceeded in a way that wasn't giving her back to any of the two.

"Good your word means something to you."

Layne glared angrily at being called cute for being clueless.

Then glared even more angrily when it turned out Moyr knew Veers wasn't really who she appeared to be.

Great. Now what?

Moyr tried to discern the emotional disposition of both toward her but there were too many fuzzy feelings of sisterly attachment floating in the Force to do it right.

“Want a prize for your foolish bravery, twi’lek,” Anya says.

“I see no reason to truck in pointless treachery with no purpose. Lying to you is pretty pointless,” she says gritting her teeth.

"I still don't know what the hell's going on," she said, more than a little annoyed.

Veers says, “It’s nothing to concern yourself with.”

"We all fear. Mastering my fear through the power of the Dark Side, knowing how to ride it, it is the true reward. It can yield radical freedom I seek. And I agree, petty games are quite counterproductive at this point. There is more for you in just telling me."

Moyr's senses were challenging the earlier haze, trying to convert the pain into adrenaline. There was too much potential danger both from the environment and her companions.

"Fine, whatever. Could you two at least stop grandstanding and a get a fucking move on?"

Veers shrugs to Moyr and keeps pace as best as she can.

Moyr focused on the environmental challenges ahead, leading them via paths that decreased chances of exposure.

[What now?]

Too many people were finding out about Veers. This was exactly what Layne had hoped wouldn't happen. She gave her 'cousin' a look while Moyr wasn't peering in their dection; as if she were asking whether or not to kill Moyr. Or perhaps as if to suggest Veers should be the one to do it.

The more people knew about Veers, the less useful she became... and the more she risked becoming a potential liability.

"Do you know where you're going," she asked Moyr.

Moyr didn't answer the question because there was no Moyr in sight after Layne had taken her look at Vrees.
