I will say that although I enjoy finding things to happen giving me some semblance of what you are looking for tends to help too. I don't mind treasure hunting but if you only just make those that does not give me much of a story to build and becomes more a chore for me to fill in the blank fun, it's not a terrible critique but I don't mind working with people to craft something akin to a narrative.

I guess for me it comes down to a mentality of not wanting to assume too much about what's possible. I don't want to be too: "And I want to make a getaway in a car... specifically a '76 chevrolet. Black with white stripes. And during the getaway I want to find a tunnel to lose the cops in. And in that tunnel there should be a hobo that knows the secret code to another bank vault I want to rob. Okay GM, go, make this happen for me."

Trust me, you may get something like that but not in the way you might see coming.

Like Layne and her stuff with Thaine, it's working out just not how she intended or Sylvain and secret agent Sith.

I've been very pleased with the twists and turns that have been thrown along the path for me. It's been quite fun.

I feel I must apologize when I'm not specifying what I'm looking for. Or what I want.

I'm very bad at telling a GM what I would want the story to be. I feel like it might come across as a sense of entitlement, as I would rather let the GM set the story and I react to it, rather than saying "I want an adventure that will let me find cool stuff and make me powerful!", and then the GM has to make something for that.

I guess it's a live-and-learn experience for everyone involved!

I will endevour to be better at this in the future!
