The Dark Academy on Korriban

Saw it when it came up.

Then changed my underwear.

It looks like it has more of a story than I was imagining. It's looking good.

I was in a cafe when I saw it first, the underwear change was a challenge.

I also watch Season 3 of Rebels. It's got darker, it has Thrawn and Wedge Antilles!

The Vader v. Ahsoka duel at the end of Season 2 was one of my favorite Star Wars moments in quite some time.

I'll need to catch up on my Season 3 today and tomorrow.

Rebels isn't really my thing. I can see why some people like it, but I'm not very fond of the art-style (didn't like Clone Wars either), and the first episodes just didn't appeal.

*goes to hug her Star Wars comics and books instead*

There's some stuff that's good about them (same goes for Clone Wars), but a lot of it is just fluff and unfulfilling.

The good moments are good though.

Same could be said about SW books and comics too though.

I mean, as much as I like the EU, I didn't mind at all that they removed it as "canon" from SW. Because then I can happily go on knowing that the Courtship of Princess Leia never happened, and that the likes of Mara Jade didn't happen either ("I'm not dark side, because I don't feel anything when I kill people!").

The books brought some cool stuff and neat things, but a lot of it was trash.

Art could be better, but plot is decent in Rebels. It has a Potter-ish kind of narrative, things get darker and more serious as the teen protagonist is growing up. The series goes a long way toward gluing SW plotlines disjointed by time jump between I-II-III and IV-V-VI. That downtime is very interesting, hence my anticipation of Rogue One as well.

Finale of season 2 was really good. Especially with the Dark Side gaining ground ^^.

I still haven't watched any of Rebels aside from clips of Vader but I generally expect some good writing like they had for Clone Wars... before they decided to can it.

I am figuring that Rogue One will have a story. A rather dark ending if we remember the quote from ep 4.

Aaaaaaand I'm caught up on Rebels.

I do hope that we get a Maul v. Obi-Wan showdown.

(biggest Obi-Wan fan in the world... well at least my known world)

Obi-Wan is a pretty cool dude.

I am an Ahsoka fan myself.

Big fan of Obi-Wan as well.

That Ewan McGregor was able to make me think he was great as Obi-Wan even with the terribleness of the prequels is a major indicator of his skill as an actor.

I will always love Alec Guinness Obi-Wan the most though.



I literally wrote in Obi-Wan Kenobi as my vote for President of the U.S. 4 years ago with Darth Vader as the VP. Felt we were a little imbalanced.... Now? He's our only hope.
