The Dark Academy on Korriban

Sylvain sat on the a few hundred meters out into the forest away from the Imperial encampment looking over data readouts of the Yubashi's known locations in the morning. Captain Harad had kept him appraised of the situation and he assessed the potential danger with their current position.

Out of the corner of his eye he spotted something like a shadow moving through the trees a few meters away. He put his datapad away and stood up, following the faint trail of noise that it left behind.

Approaching the area where he last saw the movement he began to look around for signs of what it might have been.

He sees an aspirant stumble out of the bushes with her hood up and disheveled dark robes. She turns to Sylvain and says in an attempt at a deep authoritative voice, “All hail the Emperor, fellow dark Sith.”

“Have you had your dark side today.” She does the entirely wrong salute.

OOC: It is not very convincing.

Sylvain takes his lightsaber in his hand but smiles warmly. There was something terribly familiar about the voice, "Good morning... Who are you traveler? For you are no Sith."

“And you look like a Sith with your smiling and all that. I bet you are an imposter, in that case we should just go our separate ways before I unleash my danger and dark sidey stuff on you,” she says in a brooding manner.

“So just move along, nothing to see here. I’m a Jedi… killer.”

He chuckled, there was something really familiar about that voice. "My name is Sylvain of House Torsin, and I assure you I am no impostor Lady Jedi.... killer."

"If you like you can accompany me back to our base, it's over there." He pointed, "The one you were looking at from those bushes."

“Nope, it looks fine from here, Darth Smiles. I might get a better view of from over there,” she says gesturing off further into the jungle.

“So just carry on, fellow dark lord.” She bows her head and steps back.

He squinted his eyes at the woman trying to put pieces together. There was just too much about her voice and personality that was familiar.

Suddenly it clicked in his mind, "Thy Yulani?" He asked as she started to walk.

“Never heard of that person… just another sith… I’m Darth… Branches,” she says.

“Darth Branches, lord of the Sith. You have displeased me, so don't make me angrier”

He chuckled, "Thy Yulani former apprentice of Jedi Master Xe'Fi. Born on Dantooine, trained in Coruscant at the Jedi Temple and stationed in Korriban before the attack..."

He put his lightsaber back on his hip, "Believe it or not... we are friends."

“That does not seem possible since we have never met. Are you an incredibly slick stalker? Have you been slicing my communications? I can explain the searches for wookie under garments, it’s for a friend” she says and then calms down.

“You got thirty seconds, Sith.”

He smiled and nodded, "I found a holocron on Korriban with your essence inside of it... I know you won't believe me, you didn't at first there either but I mean you no harm."

He slowly pulls out his communicator. "My friend has something that should go to you... You led her and I to an old Republic Outpost in the Deep Wastes on Korriban. We came across a Jedi who had been left there by the Republic and had turned mad... she attempted to kill us despite my requests for her to stand down. Unfortunately she did not survive the encounter."

He looked genuinely sorry, "Her name was Dala... or at least you said it was. And she had a memento that we took in honor of her. My friend kept it as a symbol of respect... but it really should go to you."

She frowns and says, “I remember Dala… I… that was a crazy time and I am still getting used to losing… well I just this is all crazy. Forgive me if this is all a little weird and if you just called for reinforcements this will be a really bad day for everyone.”

"I haven't called anyone. If you'll let me I want to have my friend bring you the memento. Just one text. You can see its content if you like before I send it."

He paused, "Please... it would mean a lot to my friend."

“Make it fast, but no funny business,” she says tapping her foot.

He nodded, "Okay."

He then typed a message:



Showing it to her before sending, Sylvain contacted his friend.

He then looked up at Thy, "This is trippy... You haven't aged a day. Supposedly your holocron is 28 years old, but you're the same age."

"Long boring story with wookies and assassin droids," she says still wary.

"We've got a couple of minutes. I've always enjoyed your interesting outlook on events and funny stories." He said with a smile.

“This might seem like a reunion but this is still a bit… weird for me. Let’s have your friend show up first before we get all cozy and reminisce,” she says calmly.

“Look no offense, you seem… not completely terrible for a Sith, just need to process all of this.”

He nodded and smiled, "Perfectly understandable."

"I'm open to questions if you have any."

“So where did you find the holocron? Where is it? Did I sound like a total goofball?” she asks.

"In a cave in Korriban; led to it by the force." He said.

"Unfortunately it is no longer in my possession, gave it to someone who said they wanted to learn more about the Jedi way." He said.

"And you didn't sound any different than you do now. Some would consider it goofy, I personally found it endearing."

“So you were on Korriban? Yeah don’t miss that place at all, it was the worst,” she says.

“At least my holocron is doing some good? I don’t know.”

"I hope so. I'll have to inquire about it the next time I come across its new owner." He said with a nod.

"Korriban is quite tiresome... I'm excited to be getting off as soon as this trip is finished. Where do they have you stationed now? Here?"

“Top secret Jedi classified,” she responds.

“So who has it now, was I so boring you had to be rid of me?”
