The Dark Academy on Korriban

Drinking after a bloody battle was a time-honoured tradition across many universes, so why would this one be different? Certainly on Yavin, among the Massassi, it came with a gory twist of the only alcoholic drink around in any abundance was made of blood.

Winery industry would flourish now among the Gunda. Yubashi Reserve would probably go down in the annals as a good year.

That night, Moyr didn't really mind what her alcohol would be made of. She just needed to drink, a lot. She had Reasons. The bloodshed of battle ranked big among them, but it was not the only one.

Zeno made his way to the village, hoping for a drink as well. The bloodshed hadn't bothered him in the slightest. In fact it made him see with clarity his purpose. He was an instrument of death and he had been wielded by his empire and the dark side to fulfill that purpose. What he needed a drink for was much more about celebration than anything else, but mostly to try and drown out his thoughts. When he saw Moyr he moved to sit across from her.

"Zeno. I am pondering. To take a stim or to flood my stomachs with blood wine."

The woman looked wounded, though none of the cuts were life-threatening.

The massassi are celebrating with booze ritualized combat, and much food. It was loud and filled with drums and shouts and violence either in combat or well other natural functions between sentient humanoids.

"Both." Zeno says, grabbing a nearby pitcher and a stim from his belt. He starts drinking right from the pitcher, getting most of it in his mouth, though some dripped down his chin and neck. As he did so, he jabbed his leg with the stim.

"Party hard."

She chortled, and stimmed herself as well. Pain relief allowed her to enjoy the 'festive' atmosphere around. She didn't have wild fantasies about joining the Massassi orgy, but she wouldn't mind Syl coming and pulling her off somewhere for frenetic fornication, preferably until complete numbness and exhaustion.

She took a rich sip of wine and sighed.

"Charming. I haven't had a greater need to feel alive than now."

It wasn't necessarily true but sent the message she intended.

"I think you may misunderstand. I will leave wakes of bodies," he replies, taking the pitcher up and drinking once more.

"I'm not sure my thirst for it will ever be filled. I was born into this universe to end lives. I can feel that now."

"Natural-born killer, huh?"

Moyr sighed, and drank.

"I just want to be free."

"Freedom..."

He thinks about that, staring at his pitcher.

"Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me."

Moyr quoted with conviction, then drank.

"Indeed," he says to the pitcher.

Then he looks up at her with a distant look.

"The code doesn't tell you what you need to be victorious over though. That's something that you need to figure out on your own."

"True, that. I personally think of it as something... individual. Overcoming the ultimate obstacle."

"That's usually yourself, isn't it?" he replies with a distant smile. He takes another drink, a bit smaller this time around.

"Not necessarily. The external circumstances can be quite oppressive."

She chuckled, then looked around if they were the only Sith celebrating with the Massassi.

"True enough. Really depends on the individual I guess," he says.

"Looking for someone?"

"Syl. Baes. Rum. I haven't seen much of them. I wonder if they're okay."

"Haven't seen much of Syl. Didn't see Baesal during the battle either," he replies.

"No idea where she got off to."

Moyr shrugged.

"I don't feel like running around looking for her. After all, she's a big girl. I guess we'll learn tomorrow."

She redirected the conversation.

"Have you made up your mind about that issue you were talking about at the starspot?"

"Things are going to play out. And when the time is right, I'll take everything," he replies. "...everything."

"Whatever that means, Zeno. You can be really cryptic."

"I'm not usually," he says with a shrug. "Jun-Tsu. We had an understanding, from my point of view. Her? She decided that it was just to lead me on. And then she revealed the truth to me... maybe suspecting I'd be okay with it. She was wrong. And the child that should have been mine is not."

Moyr went wide-eyed.

"Quite the twist, Zeno. I didn't know you were into the redhead witch so it's all new to me. Who did she cheat on you with?"

"Remmington. Weakness." He states it with a certain level of conviction. "But it does not matter who. Well, it does. One day I may burn his eyes from his skull and remove his ability to spread his seed. Let him live like that."
