"How foolish of her. I wouldn't allow anyone like that near my womb ever."

Moyr scoffed.

"Find a better woman, Zeno. For instance, is Wrath's kid not up your alley?"

He had not been made aware of Shaisha's parentage by anyone. So the mention of Wrath made him think of the rumors of the party and Layne. "That slave? Fuck no, I'll murder Layne first opportunity I get when we're all finished with the academy."

"Zeno, I respect you. Layne is beyond the pale. I was speaking about the trueblood, Syl's close friend."

"Shaisha? What's she got to do with the Wrath? Did they hit it off at that party as well?" he asks.

"Is she not Wrath's daughter? I may have misheard things on the grapevine."

Moyr shrugged, not sure if she was getting things about Shaisha right.

"Is she? I didn't hear anything... but then, most of the time I don't hear rumors unless they're blatantly obvious and everyone's talking about them. Not really my type of pastime."

Another swig is taken.

"But... I..." he thinks about Shaisha.

"I don't know. She's strong and capable. And we've had some... moments. But I don't know if she would want anything more than that."

"Well, I don't know that either. But since things have clicked for you once, perhaps that's an avenue. I think it's a safe bet she has some healthy respect for a strong and powerful Sith like you."

"That's not really the issue. The last time I thought with my brain rather than my instinct I ended up betrayed for the effort and commitment," he replies. "I don't think so lowly of her... in fact, she's the one that saved me from becoming a mindless rage beast." Another drink.

"Oh? How come?"

"I found enough sense to call for someone to help me control it. She was the first person I thought of," he replies. "Despite acting violently towards her she still found a way to put the beast back under control."

He looks at the sky.

"Far from my finest moment."

A large shadow was cast in their direction, an outline created by the flickering flames of campfires and an extremely big sith. Jo'ren looked down at the pair, a large container of the blood wine held in one large hand.

"Room for another?"

His voice was calm. In fact there was a noticeable change over him from the last time either had spoken to him.

"Still a lot of weakness in us to root out."

Moyr nodded sagely, and downed a gulp of the metallic drink. Then, Jo'Ren showed up.

"No qualms, Jo'Ren."

Moyr smiled at him, showing to a place beside her.

He took the offered space beside Moyr and gave her a brief smile then looked at Deathwright. Lifting the wine he took a sip of the metallic brew.

"These Massassi are tough, and it was a good battle. So I have to ask, why do you look like shit Deathwright?"

"Comsumed by rage yesterday. Betrayal and hatred. The standard issues that come with feeling too much and being surprised with betrayal," he says. He is of course unaware that much the same happened to Gerald... in a bit more terrifying way.

The big sith considered that for a few moments and took another swig.

"Betrayal you say? Sounds highly personal too. Since you're still suffering."

Turning to Moyr he offered her a drink from his flask if she cared for it.

"Yes. But I suppose that comes with the territory with the sith," he replies. "Never experienced it with my Deathwright brothers and sisters."

She did, and didn't hold back. She was about to say something, but the jolt kept it in her mouth.

Jo'ren nodded.

"I remember you saying how you've all got each others backs."

He breathed out and reached for the wine again.

"It's funny how the Force works though, isn't it? Mysterious ways, etc. I mean, one day there you are, betraying someone who trusts you to a fate worse than death, just for a pat on the head, and then a few weeks later you get horribly betrayed yourself. Why would that come as a surprise exactly?"

"I've never betrayed a comrade," Zeno replies. "So I'm not sure what you're on about."

"I think it's about you, Zash and what happened to Hin, Zeno."

Moyr said, pulling up into a less relaxed a seat.

"His name was Gerald Hin. He was trying to help you, and you betrayed him." Jo'ren seemed strangely calm. He gestured towards Zeno. "All of this betrayal and rage you're feeling. Whatever it is that someone has done to you. You deserve it. Well done."

He sipped the wine and offered it back to Moyr.

Moyr actually hijacked a bowl of tasty meaty bits from one of her Massassi female friends who no longer needed it because she was being pulled away for acts of primal procreation. She put it between both men and helped herself to its content, taking a shallow gulp only after the food was chewed down.

"Oh, thanks Moyr." He took a handful and tried them. "Hey, these are really good, you should have some Zeno."

"Gerald Hin was a good guy and that was unfortunate. But Zash invited him to that expedition," Zeno says with a shrug. "I'm only as implicit in his death as the others there that chose self preservation over stepping up and ensuring their own deaths."

"If he was someone important to you, then I'm sorry for that loss. But I never considered him a comrade. He said he wanted to help with some droid memory cores. Everything else... not my plan, not my decision, not my intention for him. If he hadn't have come along it might have been Moyr, or Baesal, or me or any number of other students. But it was going to be someone. My master is a monster and immensely powerful."

He has some of the offered food.

"Oh right. So it's only betrayal if it happens to you? Pathetic." He leaned over. "Guess what? That's exactly how the person who betrayed you feels."

He popped a few more morsels. That's the fucking glorious Sith Empire right now isn't it.

"Plus, what are you so sad about? You didn't get turned into a rend in the universe like poor old Gerry. Left with nothing but the memories of what you and Zash did to him. So however little you felt about it Zeno, you betrayed him. Now the universe is repaying the debt it would seem."
