The primal nature of Yavin, it permeated her. The ambience of the jungle was like her breath, its shadows were like her silhouette, the tendrils of darkness were like her own tails. She stared in the red face of the death god reigning over his perilous moon, and felt like she was looking into the mirror. His phantom. The wraith. No creature disturbed her as she descended deeper into the jungle, guided by a feral call in her soul.

She opened wide to the Dark Side of the Force, invited it to merge with her senses. Something called her.

Moyr can feel the hunt through her being the exhilaration of the hunter and the fear of the prey. She can feel the hunts and conflicts of the natural predators of the massassi and even the ancient Sith that have left their impressions on this jungle moon.

Fear and Desire. Fear of being killed, desire to take life and feed. The primal emotions the ancient Sith have harnessed, which they have not denied, but embraced, forged and ultimately mastered. The essence of life explained in a simple code.

Jadus' words returned and reverberated. To be conditioned didn't mean to be enslaved. It meant to be remade into a superior being. Free from own weaknesses. She knew it was the truth, she had braved the Ordeal.

She hears Jadus’ voice, “So what have you learned, my apprentice?”

"That remaking oneself comes before remaking the world. Only superior beings have the strength and power to shape destiny. My trials and ordeals, they perfect me. I am the furnace before I am the sword. I am the sword before I am the hand."

She hears the voice of Senator Valri, she says, “You were my pretty toy, now look at you? So damaged, so broken. You think you are more than a slave?”

"Underneath the flesh, there is bone."

Moyr lunges and her sharp teeth bury deep in Valri's sagging throat, tearing it apart. She is cut and beaten, but retains the hold until life is drained out.

Jadus speaks, “So you will simply kill everyone that has displeased you?”

"Kill, deceive, divert, implicate, recruit, coerce, lure, inspire, empower. Many paths. But not those who displease me. Displeasure is petty. Those who oppose me, who stand in the way toward my accomplishment, commitment and power as a Sith. My true enemies."

"So who are you friends?" she says.

"Who are your enemies?" he says.

"This is ever-changing. The loyal betray, the antagonistic are turned. A web with many threads that hold, break and are recast. Will you fight Jedi with me, Baes? Will you fight Zash with me, Zeno?"

She asked ironically, well aware of contingent value of her ties to them, and volatility of the designations.

"But as long as the web remains I can pull its strings. I maintain the web because I am strong enough to do so."

"What if you are just another insect in another's web?" she asks.

"What if, truly."

Moyr bared her teeth in a feral grin.

"Then we'll see whether it can hold when I start rocking, won't we, Lord Zash?"

"How far will you go?" she says.

"Ever since we learned who we are, there has ever been just one answer to this, darling."

Moyr smiled gently at herself.

"Until the Force shall free us."

Jadus says, "Then maybe you are ready."

"Let's check, master."

She did not fear to fear any more. Trials, torments and terrors, they could all come. This was the only way forward. The Dark Force in her didn't recede as long as her face was hidden under her red mask. It became more familiar than ever before.

“You are or you are not?” Jadus says.

"I am ready."

She said what she believed in, simply.

“You are worm, and you are nothing. I should have sacrificed you and that traitor, Baesal. Oh I know… there is nothing that escapes my grasp… my sight. There is no where in this universe you can hide, little slave,” Zash hisses through misshapen teeth.

Moyr feels cold fingers around her throat tightening, “You will suffer.”

So the terror came. Moyr anticipated fear and trepidation to surge across her animal-self and she wasn't disappointed. It entered her system and sent her senses and metabolism ablaze, into hectic combustion. She waited for the adrenalin rush and grasped it to fuel rejection, defiance, intolerance.

"Who said I will run from you, slave?"

She tried to push back, channeling the bloodlustful power of the red giant, tapping into her enhanced connection. To sow doubt, self-loathing.

"You haven't mastered the Force. The Force is your master. Happy with your shackles?"

Moyr grinned ferally.

"You can make me suffer the worst and I wouldn't be as miserable as you are. You look like dung of a leper blurrg."

She feels righteous anger and pain and then shortness of breath and then darkness consumes all senses. Her eyes open and there is pain around her throat, the mask laying on the ground next to her with a light rain falling.

Wet but not broken whatever visions transpired she remains.

Yavin looms in the blue sky, a red eye peering down, one whose eye was briefly upon her.

She smiled despite her short breath and an urge to puke. Grabbing the mask with shaky fingers, she blew the death god a happy kiss. She was ready for many things now. Not all, but many. The coming battle was one among them. Stronger than ever, she soon rose and headed back to face her destiny.
