The Dark Academy on Korriban

I'm considering a second spec so that I can pick up Force rating +1. The easiest path is Aggressor, but I really want Reflect (stupid blasters), which makes Niman appealing (although I would still be something like 125 xp away from Force+1). I might wait and see if the sourcebook for warriors comes out before the next game and then decide, on the off chance that one of the new paths includes Reflect (although we might just be sticking with the core books depending on Dapper's preferences).

Then again, the Shii-Cho tree has some solid options for me, and there are some Force powers and skills I want to buy 40 xp was a really nice surprise!

Reflect is really good and there will be lost of blasters at Nar Shaddaa! If that matters to you, the book choices will open up, but I wanted to keep things simple for this game.

I really want Supreme Reflect too from the Shien tree...

Yeah it was nice keeping it simple, and there aren't books for every profession yet, although more choices are nice to have. I figured Nar Shadaa would be blaster heavy

But this way I got Force 2 faster. Niman is a well rounded spec thst gives social buffs, saber stuff and force stuff, so it's pretty useful.

I just wish there was an easier way to get reflect, but as a warrior it's 35xp in the best case.

On a very lucky roll I can, at short range, deal 3 unsoakable dmg to 4 peeps and have a chance at a critical wound on each. And I had to forego a lot of things just to do that. Like all the defensive and increased Range Sense powers. And heading for Force Rating 3. Or getting anything close to competent skills.

Go Shien.

Get ALL the Reflect.

Or perhaps it will just be my time on Nar Shaddaa when all you fighting guys have lots of Parry and no Reflect, and here I'll be Supreme Deflecting them blaster bolts.

Ataru is not ideal for reflect, or parry even, but it does do both of them and has the dodge stuff too. Improved parry is an option, but that will come later. I would like to get force rating 2 though, if only so I could commit 2 dice to Sense.

40 xp hmmm, not enough to get to FR2 but . . . for Nar Shaddaa I wanted to look at the non force using classes of Edge of the Empire anyway. Archaeologist or Big Game Hunter if Dapper lets us use the add on books (with No Disintegrations due in Dec/Jan we'll have the add on book for every EotE career.)

Instead I shall just load Grenda up with the Boost dice adding talents that Hunter is full of.

Mandalorians are actually going to be printed in the Age of Rebellion adventure Friends Like These (confirmed by FFG) so it's actually unlikely they'll reprint them in the very next book, which is No Disintegrations.
