She raised an eyebrow. It seemed Sylvain was certainly considering Moyr in a different light than he had back on Yavin when she had pressed the issue then.

"I guess her is the turning point that will keep coming back to you then. You speak of how we turned you away, when in fact you're the one who cut off Kristal when you chose the twi'lek over her. Frankly, I feel hurt over it too, that you ruined what we three had, and could've had, for someone you barely know who could also be using you in return."

Shaisha leaned forward a little. "If she is of interest to Baras, then there is more to her than she is telling you, and... look, I don't want you to get yourself into more trouble than you already are, ok? I'm worried about you."

He nodded, "I thank you for your concern. I am aware of the reasons for Baras' interest in her. She is an interesting and upcoming Sith... it would be wise for you to keep track of her dealings as well."

He then tightened his jaw, "But I assure you, I would do anything to make it up to Kris... Moyr has filled a hole that was left when I ruined things with Kris... something that I hate to repay with anything other than my own generosity... But I will do what I must."

"And where do I and Kris factor into those equations?" she asked, letting it be up to him if he thought it meant his own personal plans, or Baras' plans.

"Moreso than my revenge or any other factor... you take the utmost priority." He replied simply.

She gave a simple nod and patted him on the shoulder.

"Then don't hesitate to call on me. Our masters are opposed, but we can still work together; for the Empire."

Sylvain nodded, "And I am only a call away if you need me as well."

He then smiled slightly, "Were does your master send you from here?"

"Don't know yet. Maybe a dreadful cocktail party with other Sith, or spelunking into tombs, who knows. I got some Massassi souvenirs to hand to him tomorrow, but for now, the future is uncertain," she shrugged with a small smile. "And I'm ok with that. I don't mind not knowing what tomorrow will be like, or next week. I have a feeling I might get to be all over the place."

"It seems that would be a situation that would suit you quite well." He smiled slightly, "I am happy for you Shai."

"And you? Will Baras parade you around like some prized pupil at the fancy parties and lock you in a closet during the off-hours, or have you been given some assignments yet?"

He chuckled, "I have an assignment, yes. One of significance in the capital. Deeper into the belly of the beast I go."

She raised an eyebrow. "I see. Anything I can be of help with?"

He shook his head, "Unfortunately for now no... Continuing to convince Baras I am a capable and diligent service is all I need to do. If I have need for some information or help that doesn't jeopardize you in any way, I'll ask."

She nodded. "Very well. I wish you the best of luck with that, then."

"So, if you're going back to Dromund Kaas... you'll be seeing your mother again, no?"

He smiled, "Yes. Anything you'd like to relay?"

"..."

She probably wouldn't see Raven Torsin again. And it was probably for the best, if she still meant to officially cut her ties with the Torsin family.

"Give her my condolances... and thanks."

He nodded. "Of course. Though I'm sure she'd appreciate hearing that from you one day."

"Maybe. We'll see... I'm just not very good at saying goodbye to people," she shrugged.

"Nothing to be afraid of with mother. You know her to not be the overly sentimental type." He said with a warm smile.

"I know. Still... I might get sentimental," she chuckled dryly. "Who knows. Been the closest thing I've had to a mother-figure for a while, after all."

He smiled, "I'll tell her you were weeping when you told me, so the result will be the same as if you actually did cry while bidding her farewell. Or you'd have to talk to her to correct my lie."

"Haha, very funny." She glared at him.

"I'll see if business brings me to Dromund Kaas, and if it does, well, I'll see about stopping by to see her."

He smiled, "And don't forget your dear brother."

"How could I? Someone has to put frogs in his bed again, after all," she smirks and gives him a playful wink.

He nodded and smiled. But his smile shortly turned to a forlorn one, "And watch over Kris for me... I spoke with her earlier... She's somewhere I can't get to right now..."

"... I will. It's weird, being caught in the middle between you two. Always thought it would be her caught in the middle, or you caught in the middle, but not me," she sighed quietly. "But I'll keep an eye on her."
