"I promise, I won't kill her," she rolled her eyes playfully.

"While it's possible he could be lying to both, I do find it more likely he's lying to her."

Destiny is a funny fate. Probably escaped becoming a rich boy's plaything by coming here to become Sith, and now she has become a rich boy's plaything.

"Quite convinced that we're holding him back. That my loving him was wrong, kept him in some sort of childhood fantasy, convinced me in the moment too," she added.

"Still... Syl promised me. I've been trying but it's been hard to believe anything he's said after that."

"It's hard to find trust again once it's broken," she agreed. "But if you could do it for me... I have faith that there might be some hope for Syl too."

"I never felt betrayed by your actions, truthfully," she explains. "I never told you to keep it to yourself, I never swore you to not acting. In part because I was unsure. You asked, tried to learn, and circumstance betrayed us all."

"Sylvain, I told him how I needed him to not betray me and yet he did."

Resting her head a bit more on Shaisha's shoulder, she added, "I don't know how to begin forgiving for that."

"Still..." she paused, knowing better than to argue with Kristal on that point, and also not wanting to bring up any painful memories.

"... What do you think our great idol, Darth Marr, would do in this situation then?" Shaisha asked after a moment's silence, teasing Kristal with a small smile.

"There are quite a few things I did that I doubt Darth Marr would do," she responded with a bit of a smirk to Shaisha's tease.

"Oh, you think the great Darth Marr has never fallen inlove or been betrayed?" she giggled quietly. "Or kissed anyone... or you know, gone under the covers with someone."

"Don't you find it hard to picture?" she said with an amused smile.

"I have an easier time imagening that than my own parents doing it," she made a face and shuddered.

"Besides, Marr's all mysterious, wearing that mask all the time. Who knows what sort of handsome face he might be hiding underneath it all." Shaisha wiggled her eyebrows.

Playfully Kristal brought her hand up to pat against Shaisha's chest, just below her shoulder. Leaving the concept of imagining her own parents behind.

"Stop! I have to talk to him later," she said lightly with a solid laugh following the eyebrows.

Then, despite what she just said, she offered an alternative. "What if he has a Uni-brow?"

"Hmm..." she pursed her lips in a devious smirk. "Or buckteeth? With a horrible moustache to go with it."

"No no," she said laughing a bit, "We're going to far there. I won't be able to keep a proper composure later."

"Consider it a part of your trials, Kris," she teased with a laugh.

"Your mother must be proud of you, becoming the apprentice to Marr. And your father would've been proud too."

"With my all knowing insight, I am sure your father is proud of what you've accomplished as well," she said, teasing with the first bit.

Kristal pat Shaisha's shoulder again. Jokingly adding, "Now help me get my shirt on before people start getting ideas about what this Trio of ours is about."

"Let them speculate," she winked and untangled herself from Kris so she could get around to helping her get dressed.

"... He sent me a message yesterday that he's coming by today sometime, you know," Shaisha said as she picked up Kristal's shirt. "I'm a bit nervous, to be honest."

Moving in unison with Shaisha, as they got untangled Kristal pushed herself to her feet. Feeling it would be a bit easier with her shirt that had some neatly covered buttons down the center when it was nicely put together.

"Don't be," she said with an inspiring confidence, "Did you want me nearby? Come see you after?"

"No, no... it will be fine. Besides, I wouldn't want to ask that of you," you saw him killing your father and all. "I don't know when he'll show up precisely, but it will be before the party tonight. I will see you there, won't I?"

"I will try to attend, I hope it isn't a formal affair. I'll be so out of place."

"You won't be. You're Kristal Serasai, apprentice to Darth Marr. Half of those there are below you and will be the ones out of place," she said confidently as she helped Kristal into her shirt.

"Besides, I know you hate wearing formal wear, anyway."

"When I came here I wanted nothing more than to earn my name, despite my Father. Prove myself a Serasai. If I say that now they'll think it's under a different connotation than that," she said with a little humbling bit before she said the next.

"Apprentice to Darth Marr, it feels... good."

It was odd, difficult if it was alone, but Kristal took over as soon as she could manage the rest by herself easily.

"I can relate to that feeling. Wanting nothing more than to prove worthy of your legacy and name. I didn't only keep my heritage a secret because I wanted to protect myself, and him, but because I wanted to be worthy of claiming it. The past weeks here, I guess I've come to feel that I was always worthy of it."

As Kristal did the rest of the job on her own, Shaisha picked up the hairbrush and waited for Kris to sit back down.

"I know you wanted this place as his apprentice. And you've earned it."

Patting the outfit down and making sure it looked presentable Kristal turned on a heel to face Shaisha before she sat down. Reaching out with a hooked index finger and using the broad side to pull up her chin. "Good to hear you caught up with the rest of the class on that one," she teased a bit.

Turning about again she sat, that was a part of her routine she had thought to overlook given her state. Shaisha was certainly a blessing in that regard, a ward against bad hair days.

"I'll be able to do something real under Marr, that alone was worth all the effort. Vowrawn better not waste your potential, or I'll have to come show him a piece of my mind."

At some point, as it appeared, Kristal had forgotten the gloom of the situation. At least for the morning so far. It was good, it made her feel good. Right here and now. Like things were simple again.

Shaisha wielded the brush expertly, as well as her lightsaber skills at least.

"I'll be sure to let him know that... I have a feeling he'd probably relish the chance to have your company," she chuckled as she worked out the tangles. "He is a bit of a charmer."

"Do you think so? That hasn't worked out well for charmers in the past. I think I might have punched the last one if I recall."

Simple, and pleasant, and entirely without thought Kristal just enjoyed the moment for what it was here. How she wasn't herself or at least the herself that was outside that door right now. Letting herself be cared for by a friend and just.. talked.

"Please don't punch my master. It would make things awkward... Just as awkward as if I was to flirt with your master," she laughed as she smoothed out Kristal's hair.

"Maybe I should try short hair too... Gotten so used to always having long hair."
