Watching the election is downright depressing...

Hey, my in-laws did their duty in casting their ballots (and from what I hear, ballots cast by citizens living outside the US are almost worthless) to prevent the new world crisis.

And tbh, if the rest of the world could've voted on this, this would not be such a stupidly close race! >_<

We have earthquakes and tsunamis but we have good structural norms.

Welp... with the current tally, it seems the race is more or less over.

My American friends, know that I'm so sorry for you guys, to see this happen to your country. This is almost on par with seeing Putin "elected" in Russia, or Erdogan in Turkey. It's devastating to watch.

Even if some miracle occurs to swing the last states, the damage is already pretty bad.

Today... oddly in my modern japanese history class we discussed the trends of fascism/populism in the 1930s in Europe and Japan...


It was far too topical... and far too depressing to now deal with in real life.
