The Dark Academy on Korriban

On his last day there were a few things that Jo'ren had decided he really must do. One of them was to find the museum's exhibit on Exar Kun, which he was expecting to be easy. However, upon finding it he was rather disappointed by the lack of anything particularly interesting. No lightsaber (double), no holocron, no armour. Just a few paintings and accounts from the time.

Still it was interesting, and he spent a few long minutes comparing the likeness in the images to the spirit he had encountered back on Yavin IV. "Close, I guess..."

Remmington comes walking down the hall of the museum and greets Jo'ren. "Greetings. Sith Jo'ren. How are you my friend? It has been a while since we last spoke." He takes a moment to regard the exhibit that Jo'ren is looking at.

Lord Zash sighs and says, “Admiring Exar Kun, Sith. Perhaps you imagine yourselves as his successors?”

Remmington offers a bow to Zash. "Afternoon Lord Zash. To be honest I have no idea who Exar Kun is. I just am looking at the exhibit since I am here."

Jo'ren threw a smile at Remmington and was about to respond when the Monster Zash appeared. He looked at Rem. "Nice to see you too, my fellow Sith."

He turned to look at the Sith Lord for a few moments and then returned his gaze to the exhibit. "I do admire him...but, I have my own path to walk."

“He was an exemplary Sith I suppose, not my favorite but acceptable,” she says in reply.

"What was he like?" Remmington asks no one in particular.

He looks over to Jo'ren and smiles. "No matter how great or glorious. The past is just that. The past. We all have to move forward and carve our own path."

Jo'ren looked at Zash and nodded. Remington's words drew a raised eyebrow.

"You've grown since we last met. Wise words."

Turning to look at the exhibit he recalled the tales about Exar Kun, and his own meeting.

"He began life as a Jedi but quickly saw their path was flawed. Restrictive. Full of meaningless boundaries and a fear of true freedom. He was the greatest duellist of his generation and unlocked secrets that had been lost to time. Exar Kun chose his own path, and carved it across the galaxy. He was a Sith."

“Foolish words, wise words… they can be one in the same. Both of you have passed your trials and claimed the title of Sith. Bring glory to the Empire, we are peers in a way. We are all inheritors of greatness and destiny favors the bold,” Zash replies.

“Those with the strength to seize power by any means.”

In a nearby corner of the library, Moyr was downloading pertinent databases on Balmorra, industries and social relations of the Republic and the like onto her hand scanner. She didn't know when she would have access to extensive sources. But then voices made her curious. And the female one - alerted. She touched her neck in memory of her vision and adapted to the rising level of epinephrine, cortisol and adrenaline.

Jo'ren kept his eyes on the exhibit for a few moments longer. "Yes, we are all Sith now." Though not all are Sith as he knew them.

"It will be a glorious future indeed. I hear you are headed for Dantooine Lord Zash?"

Zash says, “I am and perhaps shall not return to Korriban for a long time, my journey begins there though I doubt it will end there.”

"Thank you for the kind words Jo'ren and the explanation." Remmington comments.

"To a bright future for the Empire. I wish you luck on your journey Lord Zash." Course he didn't say what kind. He notices Moyr but doesn't say anything for the moment.

"A Sith reliant on luck, is no Sith," Zash replies warmly.

"Any time Remmington. I may not have a vast knowledge of Lore like Lord Zash, but I do know about the life and times of Exar Kun." He shrugged and then also spotted Moyr as he turned..

"We're each looking for power in whichever way works best for us." Doesn't mean we have to agree to like each others methods though.

"I suppose you have a point there Lord Zash. I will keep that in mind." Remmington smiles back.

"Well I am sure you find something fruitful in your journeys Jo'ren. Where will you be going after this?" He asks.

Spotted, Moyr closed the transfer and moved out of her hiding place. She had been bracing for facing Zash since she had heard her voice, so she managed to keep a relaxed, confident mien when she stepped out. Even though a flashback from her Force vision overlaid with the fair face of the alluring blonde. While gruesome, it also provided her with a sense of schadenfreude that contributed to her internal strength.

"Lord Zash, Sith Rath, Sith Thalalas."

She greeted them without transgressions to dignified conduct.

"Being sentimental about our memorable night in the museum, the first after our arrival here?"

Lord Zash gave a nod to the young Sith and then moves on to something else. She had more pressing concerns than conversation and disappears into the private restricted galleries.

Remmington returns the greeting with a pleasant smile. "Afternoon Sith Ahaya. Learning the past can help prevent making the same mistakes I suppose. Or another can say knowing the past can help determine the future."

"It is a bit late but congratulations to you both on becoming Sith."
