"Certain," she said with confidence.

Following with her eyes as he waved to Shaisha, she waited till his attention returned before continuing.

"We did, known her forever. Which inclines me to inform you that messing with her has some grievous consequences." There was a cold stare as she spoke that part. Placing her glass down as she let the moment set for a second or two. Then, as she picked her glass back up, it vanished with a smirk and there a return to the lighter mood of a few moments prior. "And I would hate for this pleasant relationship we have building here to go that road."

"No," she said, glancing into her near empty glass. Finishing it off in the moment she did. "Now I am."

Two drinks were ordered and he studied her for a few moments as they stood there in the midst of the party. When he replied it was equally serious. "Glad to hear it. She feels the same about you. True friends are a rare gift Kristal. Sith these days, well, they don't seem so good at understanding that."

He nodded to the barkeep as the drinks arrived and raised his glass. "Here's to true friends. There was a time when I had two. I'd tear down the galaxy for the one I have left."

As Sylvain kissed her hand at the conclusion of their performance, she made a face and wiped her hand. Soon followed by laughter. "Weirdo," she teased her 'brother', and gave him a playful poke.

Catching the wave from Jo'ren, she waved back, and blew him a kiss.

"To true friends, may they always be there to keep us on the right path," she said raising her glass to his toast.

Dropping that drink down the hatch Kristal raised her glass once again. Waiting for him to be ready before offering a toast connected to his. "And to the ones we lose along the way. No matter how they left us they will remain in our thought, and our heart, forever."

Jo'ren raised a hand and 'caught' the kiss Shaisha had blown him as he drank. Kristal's rejoinder caused him a moment's pause as he reflected on his friendship with Gerald. Knowing that he was at peace made it easier for the sith to remain calm in the face of his betrayers, but one day there would be a reckoning.

"To those we have lost." He raised the glass again and drank with her. She was a true believer in the Empire, and Gerry would have liked that.

His thoughts turned to his new master, and his mission. A smile crept across his face as he thought of hunting with the Queen again. "And to the possibility of new friends."

Kristal had met Gerry once, one of the ones she never thought would make it as a Sith. A simple appraisal of a man she never really got to know.

Then, another toast, "To the possibility of new friends."

With another drink back, and draining alcohol a bit fast she placed the glass down with a look of satisfaction.

"Anything else you think we need to drink to?"

This was turning into a fun night at the bar, and would be his last for a long while given his plans. Jo'ren happily knocked back some more beer in response. One of the benefits of being huge was that alcohol didn't have an easy time getting through to him.

"Being alive in this moment." He raised the glass and drank. "As of tomorrow all bets are off."

She held up her own, freshly gotten concoction. It rested in a clear glass possessing of a dark green color. She sipped it slowly then put it down on the bar.

He smiled, "Congratulations. I hope that drink doesn't have any alcohol."

"Ve have parted vays. Und I vould like to zhink zhat I vould newer have to vorry about him again, but I feel zhat man may plague me for a great deal more time."

She sighed, "It vas pleasing vhile it lasted, but it vas best, I zhink, zhat it be a childhood dalience. It iz better zhat ve know v'one another az ve truly are, rather zhan zhe image ve had conjured in our head. I zhink ve vere both juzt too villing to zee only vhat ve vanted in each other."

He nodded, "It can be difficult to see beyond the outer semblances of romance and get to what truly matters. I wish you well in your endeavors going forward, and hope he will not be too big of a problem for you. I would prefer to see House Farro contribute greatly to the Empire, and you play an important role in that going forward."

On the reverse, Kristal was, despite her constitution, still a bit on the smaller side. Though it wasn't showing so overtly yet it had certainly had some effect in there. Raising her glass again, and another drink later.

"To being alive," she added to his toast.

Afterwards there was a little hanging silence. Kristal didn't know what to say, or toast to, but remained engaged with her drinking partner. Just holding her glass as they sat there for a moment with the world moving around them.

Jo'ren enjoyed the silence for a while, sipping his beer and pondering the events of the last few months. Eventually he returned his gaze to Kristal. "If I never eat paste again it'll be too soon. Is there anything about this place that you will miss Kristal? Lot of memories here now."

"It will not be the paste."

Likewise it gave Kristal a long moment to think about everything. Not that she thought too much about everything. Passing thoughts of a few of those crazy events that had somehow come to be. It was the question that focused those thoughts a bit. There was one in particular, but that one was made sour by circumstance.

"Nothing," she said taking a drink. "Memories are in abundance, but nothing will be left behind. Yourself Jo'renn?"

He nodded, "I see... I hope you will be able to maintain a bit of that freedom. The Empire appears to be in a period of change... tightly held secrets are being extracted more and more for the use of the Empire. I hope something can be worked out with your family that works without having them included in one of the various purges going on. I would hate to see good and useful servants of the Empire mistreated... I hope your Matriarch will see how working with members of the inner councils of Dromund Kaas could be beneficial to her and her house as the Empire goes through these changes."
