The Dark Academy on Korriban

Remmington heads over to Jun-Tsu's tent. "Hey Jun-Tsu, are you awake?"

He is fiddling with something in his hands.

Even as he approached, Rem could tell that she was. The sound of movement stirred inside the canvas tent and at his words the flap opened and the witch hoisted a small satchel onto her back. She seemed focused, primed for something.

"Of course I am," she said with a certain distraction. "But I can't talk v'right now I must go to zhe temple and begin preparations. Zhere iz a disturbance, zhe spirits have told me of an attack. I know not vhen, und zhe day growz late, but it vill come I know it. I must be up at zhe temple to help acolyte Sinea vith her ritual."

OOC: This is just background. We can obviously still talk. It'll just be on the way to the temple.

"There is an attack coming?" Remmington says a bit surprised. "Who is attacking us?" He asks.

He starts walking and stays by Jun-Tsu's side to escort her. Though is Jun-Tsu is paying attention she may notice that he is a bit under the weather.

If she noticed she didn't mention it, "Zhe Massassi vill attack en masse, und ve must be prepared. Zhankfully zhe Dark-light iz vith us und haz given varning. Zhe Massassi do not stand a chance against zhe vill of zhe Umbră-Ușoară."

"There will be victory, as long as you do as I have instructed," Darth Traya says to Jun-Tsu, manifesting for her eyes.

"The infinite expanse of time has revealed much to me."

Jun-Tsu nodded absently, seemingly at her own words.

She shade's comments, though, did calm her nerves. The witch knew, even if only a little, the power and scope of the Void Engine, and she didn't know it anywhere near as well as Traya did.

It caused her to stop and take stock, "Vhat iz it you vished to discuss, Rem?"

Remmington nods. "That is reassuring to hear. Not the part about the Massassi attack but part that they will stand no chance." He clarifies.

"Actually I am pretty sure that I will need your help with this." He shows Jun-Tsu what he is holding. A damaged Sith holocron!

"I can already tell that this is beyond my ability alone to repair but with your help and possibly the Void Engine we may be able to restore this and find what secrets it holds." He sounds excited. Like a child that just received a new toy.

She thought to the Void Engine and to Darth Traya who now delved deeply into its mysteries. In many ways the Void Engine was an infinitely more complex holocron. It's ability to hold and record data far beyond anything a holocron could, but ultimately, serving much the same purpose.

"Yes, I beliewe zhat it vould be a zimple matter to zee to itz repair. I zhink zhere may ewen be zome books in zhe Farro temples zhat are old enough to reference zhe construction of holocrons, und I am zertain I can garner zhe knowledge ve need to repair it."

Remmington smiles happily. "That is great news. I can't wait to see what is in this. It will make the effort well worth it." He plays a little with the holocron in his hands.

"Vhere did you get it?" She quirked an eyebrow at the marred device.

"It took some time and effort but I located an old Sith cache out in the deep wilds of Korriban. Unfortunately the place had long been raided and all that was left was utter junk. I found this, I can see why it was left behind but I hope that once it is repaired it will yield something worthwhile." Remmington explains.

"It doez look badly damaged, vhile I am zertain ve can repair it in time, are you zertain zhat vhatewer vas recorded into it vill be salwagable?"

"I cannot say for sure. Though that is sometimes half the fun. Who knows, even if we can nothing on it. The effort will at least give us good experience with how holocrons work." Remmington puts a positive spin on it.

A very Remmington thing to do it seemed. It was sometimes hard to believe the man was from one of the old, great Sith Houses. Then again, she half-nodded to herself, that might be why it fell into decline.

"Zhat it zhall. But for now you may vish to focus on zhe comming conflict. Unless zhere iz anyzhing elze? Zhis may be, zhough unlikely, zhe last time ve may have a chance to speak."

Remmington thinks for a moment but shakes his head and puts the datacron away. "Well even if you say they are no threat carelessness can lead to tragedy. I guess I will have to fight a bit seriously. How are your lightsaber skills? Or are you planning on relying on your Force Powers more?"

"Ewen zhe Farro do not neglect zhe saber, no matter how much we zeek to ztrengthen zhe zpirit. You should know zhat," she smirked. "But it iz zhe ritual of zhis Lady Okatesh zhat vill occupy a majority of mein time. Zuch powver reqvires concentration und dedication. But I've mein own thoughtz about vhat to do vith zuch ztrong influx of zhe Dark-light."

"Oh? You are working together with acolyte Okatesh on this one? She seems like the diviner type to me." Remmington comments.

"I met her only briefly after I vas varned about zhe attack by zhe Dark Side. It zaid to zeek her out and zo I did. I learned of the ritual und I knew my purpoze. Beyond zhat I know nozhing about zhe voman."

Remmington nods. "Well as long as we have you both there I am sure that we'll be fine."

He smirks a bit. "Quite the send off they are giving us isn't it Jun-Tsu?"

The witch didn't share his insouciant attitude, and held more than a little doubt about the way the evening might turn out. Still, she nodded and offered a smirk in spite of her reservations.

"To think zhat if zhe localz haz just left enough alone zhat ve might have left peaceably. But now....it iz to be conflict. I can only pray zhat each of uz iz vorth ten of zhem."

"I only see there being any major problems if any of the primatives here have Force sensitivity." Remmington comments remembering the incident with the tree the day before.

"Newer undereztimate zhe powver of numberz to svay a battle. Zhough zhey may be zhinking zhemzelves superior, und vill be prowen quiet vrong, zhey ztill populate an entire planet. Ve a few und zhey are many. Many times many."

"You are right there. We cannot afford to get sloppy." Remmington nods. "Still I get the feeling that some people are going to compare kill counts."

"Let zhem," she looked towards the temple as it rose over the treeline that protected their encampment. "I'm more conzerned vith mein own surwiwal at zhe moment."

"I totally agree there. I hope that everyone I care about and myself make it through this one. If you need help I'll be there to protect you too Jun-Tsu." Remmington says with some confidence.
