From what I can dig up, it doesn't seem like Darth Malgus was on the Dark Council. And with certainity he was not on the Council prior to the sacking of Coruscant.

In the SWTOR-storyline, he's the leader of the expeditionary fleet, but doesn't seem to hold a position on the Dark Council. A respected Darth with a lot of influence and power, but not a Dark Council member.

How does Shroud interact with bypassing defences of Secured locations?

So if a person has Reputation 5 and can get speeders without any checks, do they still have to make a scene to request them or can such a request be assumed and such individuals can just head out to the Valley of the Dark Lords and get themselves killed?

It may offer a boost die based on the circumstance but much of the security is still with cameras, people, and equipment. It would work super well if you are trying to avoid detecting by Sense, so probably a Boost die or two.

Yes you can assume it was off screen, do note when you got the speeder. There may be times where they are not available but I will usually post that in the Daily thread for weather and such.

Page 151 (sadly unavailable to those with the scribd character creation) essentially says that the shroud power can be activated 1xsession to make the user and his force powers undetectable by other force powers for an entire encounter.

So that makes à shadow immune to the sense and seek force powers and their trees but not to mundane and electronical detection. (The other talents are for that!)

That is how I read it correct it is very specific to say Force powers.

The book lists Ancient Sword rarity at 8. Are they that rare on Korriban in the Old Republic era, and can I start with one?

You could start with an "ancient sword", people might even be slightly impressed.

What would be the difficult to craft one?

With proper materials I am guessing Average Mechanics and about six time slots minimum. Probably need about 80% of the cost in credits materials.

Not to mention a proper workplace too, I imagine.

You could probably find a location in the Hall of Shadows if you ask an instructor nicely.

It would be a sword, it isn't a Sith Alchemically Treated sword or one made of an exotic material but you could use Lightsaber with it as you can with ancient Sword. You could try to parry lightsabers with it, the results will not be to your liking.

If it saw regular use, you would be repairing it a bunch and I am on the fence if I would allow Reflect with it. Parry of course would be fine. I am guessing Reflect would be okay but like I said it would need maintenance especially you are trying to Reflect Disruptor blasts and the like.

I need to think on this. No official ruling on the reflect thing.
