As to Triumphs, traditionally even if you fail you get to activate the effects of the Triumph. Things like noticing something important in the ongoing scene, etc. You can't activate a Triumph to crit if you don't hit, though.

Posh Puppy would have to give you the ultimate ruling on whether the Triumph part can be triggered in his particular case on a failed roll.

Per the rules of the event it counts as Two successes due to the Triumph effect.

You failed so bad, you did good. Maybe you divided by 0 and got an answer... I blame the Force.

Any roll that garners no successes in the positive is technically a failure.

In the case of that roll you didn't succeed but you got some small benefit that is not success.

Because of the Triumph yes. This is just due to the rules of this event but technically it's a fail but the Triumph effect always goes off.

If you go in a group for Welcome to Korriban, then no but you probably won't get lost.
