The Dark Academy on Korriban

Sylvain walked calmly into the Cantina and sat down at the table he and his friends normally occupied. He had an interesting smile on his features, but he often did.

He owed Kristal a drink for her help in the morning, and knew Shaisha would be excited about her time.

So he waited for his friends to arrive, relaxing a bit in his chair.

Shaisha was easy to recognize, wearing her loose dark robes over her more casual clothes. As she spotted Sylvain, a look of relief passed over her features as she made her way to join him.

"Good to see you're back. I take it the three of you had no problems?"

He smiled as she approached, "Of course not. We had Kris with us. I even had enough time to do a bit of scouting for adventure."

Then pausing before adding, "And I think I was right about this new girl. Quite useful."

He pulled out a chair for her to sit, "And how was your trip?"

"Successful, but I wasn't the fastest," she smirked a little. "One of the other Sith, a rather tall handsome one by the name Jo'ren, supposedly beat me by an entire hour... guess I was being too cautious on my way."

She eased herself into the seat beside him. "Still, it's good to be back on Korriban."

"It is, isn't it? Weird that I'm saying that. I don't think I'd ever think of that before now." He said with a smile.

"Would you like a drink dear sister?"

"Since you're offering so nicely," she chuckled in return.

"But yeah, never thought I'd hear you say you're happy about being back on Korriban. Excited about maybe becoming someone's apprentice, hm?"

"Perhaps." He said with a smile as he motioned to the bar tender for a drink.

"I spoke with Lord Zash last evening. Mother may not have been wrong... I'm beginning to be quite interested in the possibility."

"You spoke with Lord Zash, huh? Guess it was true that she was on the Sadow's Rage too then..." Shaisha rubbed her neck. "So what's she like then, since you're interested in the possibility?"

"Charming, thoughtful, intense. She has an interest in obtaining knowledge and wishes to employ that knowledge for the betterment of the Empire." He replied.

"She is perhaps a bit more radical than I, I would assume, in matters of philosophy... But she has an interesting quality of seeking out information that can be useful, no matter where it is located. I feel I could be of use to her as an advisor and negotiator... and from her learn of things that would make me more powerful and capable."

A figure of a harried Zabrak arrived. Despie the refresher course (second one that day), the noble scion of House Distraacht decided that drinking might be in order. Recognizing familiar figures, she decided to move towards them. A Sith Lord stands alone... but being anti-social is rarely good for someone who wants to lead people. Or at least be properly feared.

"Hello fellow acolytes."

Radical? Ugh... Not that Shaisha was a conservative like Thanaton, but she often felt the radicals took things a bit too far.

"I see. It does sound like she would be a good match for you as a master," she nodded, and noted the arrival of the female Zabrak.

"Evening, acolyte," the female Sith nodded. "Good to see another one that managed to get to the Academy without having to be picked up."

Sylvain nodded politely to the Zabrak with a charming smile on his lips.

"Well, that much is true." Though it was embarrassing hitting a wall while she was intentionally blocking her sight against the dust. Hopefully that won't be mentioned by anyone.

"Xevine of House Distraacht." She extended a hand towards both of the other Sith. "What do you suggest for a drink?"

"Sylvain of House Torsin." That last name was sure to be recognized by any proper noble.

"I'm a fan of the Red Dwarf they make here myself."

"Shaisha of House Vreysk," she joined in the greeting. "The Order 66 is pretty popular."

Xevine glanced between the two. "Well, we have time. Red Dwarf first." She indicate to the bartenders. "Any trouble during your journey here?"

"Nothing I couldn't handle," the Sith shrugged. "I've been on Korriban a couple of times before, and know some of the land... and what to avoid. And yourself?"

Sylvain merely shook his head, expressing that there hadn't been any problem. Then smiled as he watched the Zabrak carefully.

Xevine found the human's smile a bit strange... but returned it nonetheless. A friendly Zabrak smile. With horns and spikes.

"Some worms, but nothing too bad." She gestured with her head to the hilt of a sword over her shoulder. "Had some practice in Dromund Kaas." She accepted the drink and sipped it. "You've been to Korriban? This is my first time." She looked to Shaisha for an answer.

"A couple of times before." She accepted her drink as it came, and took a sip herself.

"I've mostly trained on Dromund Kaas under private tutors, before that on Ziost. There are some parts of training that instructors off-world just can't replicate when it comes to training on Korriban."

Sylvain smiled, "Aspirant Vreysk and I are foster siblings so my story is much the same. Korriban can be quite jarring the first time you experience it."

"Oh?" she glanced between the two. "That sounds quite useful.... I trained in Dromund Kaas as well, though in one of the Academies, rather than with tutors." She wasn't quite bristling, but standing next to scions of sith heritage... well, old defensive instincts sometime came up. "It is jarring, that much is true. But then again, one cannot be Sith without adversity." She smirked, though a smug smile. "I am looking forward to it."

"Hopefully the instructors won't drive that feeling out of you, then. Your passion will help you press on through what is certain to be an unpleasant experience." He remained comfortably reclined in his chair.

Kristal arrived, walking straight toward the group and sitting with her companions. Without pause she grabbed the attention of someone and just offered a simple nod. They knew what she wanted and saw about making it. Kristal owned her space as she settled in her seat. Not yet saying anything as to not disturb the current conversation.

"Adversity is what makes the Sith strong and superior to the corrupt Jedi," she swirled the contents of her drink around, watching the ice cubes do their little pirouette.

"Are you familiar with any of the other students here?"

Kristal was awarded with a nod and a smile. "Good to see you again, Kris."
