And the Lightsaber ruling actually turns my secret plan null, but for the better. I was planning to use a quick purchase of Well Rounded to secure it as Career.

Makes sense that building a lightsaber hilt is a fairly difficult thing for us newbs to do. Not to mention the difficulty of getting your hands on a crystal too.

As cool as it is to make your own lightsaber, I'm actually hoping for the chance to either be given a lightsaber by my master at the end ("This was my lightsaber when I first left the Academy", Darth Zash said something along those lines before giving it to you in SWTOR), or retrieving one from the tombs as a final test (like the Sith Warrior).

Scavenging or stealing from the museum is my plan as well. I probably can't hope to receive anything worthwhile with my background and have to claim it.

Depends. If you are chosen to become someone's apprentice, chances are high you will be given a lightsaber/parts to build a lightsaber.

A Sith that can't provide for his/her apprentices looks bad in the eyes of their peers. And considering that apprentices is a very important foundation of a Sith's powerbase, you do want them to have lightsabers so that they can go kill other people's appentices and stuff.

Hmmm, there may be ideological idiosyncrasies in the way for this scenario to go smoothly for me. Though there's one Darth that would make some sense for Moyr to apprentice for. Still, I need to impress, and skullduggery is how I can do it.

I'll build my own from scratch and it will be the best!

Baras as a master would probably make for the closest fit to Sylvain. But something out in left-field would also be interesting.

And I've always been a fan of purple lightsabers for my baddies. My sorcerer in SWTOR had a purple lightsaber, and my marauder switched from blue to purple and back frequently.

I will get a perfectly translucent kyber crystal so that the blade is invisible on my light saber.
