I added a Force Die to Coordinaton, as per the Enhance power rules, and am using the generated Darkside points to generate Triumphs. Is that how it should work?

Going by the book for Enhance your Dark side points can be turned into successes or advantages, not triumphs.

And I actually realized I should be rolling Athletics instead of Coordination.... should I reroll, as the dicepool is different for that one? (2eA+1eP instead of 1eA+1eP)

It should be upgrade to a Challenge die, you only add a difficulty die if you run out of difficulty die to upgrade.

There are two specific terms that are used in the book when it comes to difficulties.

Increase: add one difficulty die
Upgrade: change one difficulty die to a challenge die

For the fear check during the force exam; the book suggests sometimes cool might be used instead when you have time to prepare for the encounter; which seems like it should be applicable here?

Also, for the lulz; in regards to the earlier question of talking your way into the banquet...

would coercion be allowable as one of the skills to do that?

Good catch for this, the students know a test is coming but they don't know what, so Discipline works but I will remember that for the future.

You can totally try and browbeat and Coerce your way into the party, so yeah Coercion works. Influence works too. Again Hard difficulty and reputation applies.

Sorry to ask another question on the same topic: for the Intimidating talent, I can take 1 strain and downgrade the difficulty of coercion checks by an equal amount. Does that reduce 1 difficulty dice to a setback dice? Also, would the usual setback dice from reputation apply to the banquet, or not? I could see that go either way.

I will get back to you on intimidating, but yes Reputation counts for trying to get into the party.
