The Dark Academy on Korriban

"See, I'm certain one day I'll have a ship of my own. I think using a giant sith hound head to customize it's appearance might make for a nice intimidating factor," he says with a chuckle.

He chuckled in return, "That would be a pretty sweet look for a fighter. You'd be sure to make all the Republic fighters soil their panties, and all the women in our spaceports take theirs off for you."

"I can only imagine. But for now I'll probably just try and do some info gathering on the thing to see where it's stomping grounds are and try to get a more accurate picture of it. Sometimes what looks like a challenge can turn out to just be suicide. I imagine the thing has the dark side flowing through it to an impressive degree."

Sylvain nodded and smiled, "Let me know what you find. I know my sister would be interesting in tracking it down if not for anything but the excitement. I'd prefer not to send her to her death if it can be avoided though."

Sylvain rested his head comfortably on his shoulder as he reclined, "Speaking of women... Any of 'em here catch your fancy? Or is that not something on your mind right now?"

He asked what any normal 18 year old boy would ask.

"Plenty of beautiful women here," he says taking a bigger sip of his drink to make up for missed sips. "Although I already have plans for a wife in the future. Not that I would mind taking part in some extracurriculars. But I try not to let that distract me."

"A wife already?" Torsin asked. It wasn't too surprising, his mother was already looking for his future wife as well.


Then smiling, "Exactly, extracurricular activities can often bolster a good resume. What type of extracurriculars catch your fancy? You appear to have good breeding, so perhaps your tastes lay within the ranks of respectable species?"

"Yes, but it is not being planned by my parents. It is a political move of my own that I am going to work on after I finish here. Eliminating her husband is going to be a bit of a pain. And the dhild after it's born," he appears to have absolutely no remorse for the idea.

"As for my tastes... anything new. I'm a bit of an adventurous spirit. I think I'd try just about anything once."

He chuckled, "I'll be sure to marry a worthless spouse then so as to avoid ambitious people like yourself someday in the future."

Then laughed a bit more audibly at his comment on tastes, "I'll see what I can send your way then... I know a fair amount of the girls here for the past two years. Some value my opinions... some very much don't." He said with a sly grin.

"My father did something similar... except he made my mother kill her husband. Though to be fair, he did let my older sisters live. They are excellent pilots after all," he says with a chuckle.

"And I think that time for extracurriculars may be limited. I'm not averse to such but I suspect I'll have a pretty packed schedule during our weeks here."

Sylvain frowned a bit, "Can't argue with you there. 'Tis a shame really. Yet another endurance building challenge from the desolate world of Korriban."

"Maybe we can have a party out in the Valley of the Dark Lords and call it a field trip. Challenge people to enter tombs drunk and come back with something. Dare the planet to come down on a group of aspirants. Face the brutality of the world while throwing caution to the wind." He smiles at the idea as he leans back and takes a sip.

He chuckled, "I think you and my sister would get along perfectly. Have you met Shaisha Vreysk yet?"

"I did, on the flight in. We talked over breakfast, with a togruta present. They didn't seem to get along very well though so I'd like to get a chance to meet her without her having an unpleasant distraction," he replies with a nod.

He smiled, "She tends to be quite pleasant... the Tortuga must have done something to tick her off. Not the easiest thing to do... but not the hardest either."

He took a sip of his drink, "I'd be happy to introduce you to her. She's always looking for good partners in adventure."

"Oh, the Torguta definitely did upset her. That one has a bit to learn about the way of the sith. But I'm not one for holding naivety against someone. Better to teach them and turn them into a more effective citizen of the Empire," he says with a shrug. "And I'd be glad for more opportunities to get to know Saisha as well. She's got the bearing of a true sith. She didn't do as well as I had expected in the Orientation, but everybody has off days. I had one myself yesterday."

Sylvain nodded. He'd given Shaisha her fair share of grief when they met eariler, so he didn't feel the need to heap it on in front of a stranger.

"And your bad day turned into something quite serendipitous for you. Hopefully it will be the same with her."

"That would be good. I do expect that she'll get past it without trouble though. She undoubtedly has the breeding and talent for it. And I'm certain that growing up with a military family has given her the will and motivation to exceed."

He chuckled, "It probably spoiled her more than she would have been otherwise. But don't tell her that I told you that. She often thinks we got the same treatment."

Zeno remembers Slyvain mentioning who his father was. "Father's are often hard on their sons, expecting great things of them."

He raises his drink, in a toast like fashion. "To fathers keeping us in line." He then takes a sip.

Sylvain chuckled slightly, "To fathers." He said and raised his glass before taking a drink.

His father happened to be somewhere on the premises, so it was probably a good thing to talk nicely about him in case he walked up behind him.

"So was it just yourself and Saisha? Or do you have more siblings?" he asks curiously.

"That is it for my immediate house. Plenty of cousins and the like in the greater family, but was just the two of us as children." He responded.

"I see. That's not so bad. I had two elder sisters by about eight years that mostly hate me, and one younger sith-blood sister," Zeno explains. "Zara and Sekka were malicious in their games when I was young. But they stopped with that after I started my lightsaber training and began carrying around my blade. I think my father let them live simply to make my childhood that much more of a struggle. Clever of him."

He smiled, "There is something to say for having a person to test yourself against. I know I'm significantly better because I had Shaisha around. Continually pushing eachother to be better is how we've always grown up."

He chuckled, "And occasionally pushing that competition onto others."

"It was always directed at me, and by the time i was old enough to fight back at all they were already graduated pilots with combat training. But they sure did not want to mess with me when I had a blade. I think they knew that if I killed one of them my father would have had it swept under the rug. Surprisingly, after I finished Deathwright training, they seemed to show more respect for me, even though they still didn't like me," he said with a smirk. "But that is the way the Deathwright family has always been. Respect for merits and accomplishments."
