The Dark Academy on Korriban

Syl beat her to the punch in asking that question... meanwhile, she used her knife and a suitable piece of stone she found in the cave to make up a fire at the fireplace in the camp. Lucky there was something flammable there that the sparks caught on to.

OOC: Discipline roll of Average with a setback die, then roll a Force die and if dark side spend to hear Korriban. Failing the Discipline roll gives two setback to a Cool roll, Hard Difficulty, to not lose your nerve and suffer 5 strain, threat on the roll increase the strain. Advantage can decrease the Strain.

That sounded... almost easy? Then again, she knew her connection to the Force was rather weird today after her failed demonstration in the Tombs.

"... Focus on the passion, you say?"

Taking a seat after having secured the fire, Shaisha tried to reach within to the feelings that often fuelled her. It was... probably not working? At least Korriban didn't seem to be punishing her for the attempt.

Returning to them, Kristal placed the pot where it had been requested. For as much as she cared they seemed to be alone with this man. That was as much a blessing as it might be a curse. Already he had displayed his mastery of the Force, thus he could be a rather potent threat, but at least he was the only threat as far as she could tell.

With that determined she saw to alleviating the concerns she held. After watching him gut the dead creature she knelt down, removing the knife from her boot. Flipping it about in her hand she held it by the tip, offering the man the handle. It was certainly far better than the jagged rock he was currently using.

"This blade is sharp," she offered simply, seeking to offer what little aid she thought of that costed her little to the old man.

There was a thought to attempt to hear Korriban, but as it might rob the three of them of too much of their defense she, for the moment, elected not to jump into the attempt.

Sylvain closed his eyes and focused on listening to the voices that surrounded them.

He had a sharp mind, able to block out the voices that pressed in on him.

He focused in on the passion, drawing on whatever power he could from the force.

(OOC: Destiny to flip the Force to Dark with GM permission. Take strain and conflict.)

As he opened his mind to the voice that grew ever clearer. It appeared that what the man said was very much true... Korriban was unsettled.

While Shaisha felt the Dark Side, she wasn't able to reach the feelings of 'Korriban', or whatever it was, like Syl had. As she sat there, concentrating, she felt a horrible backlash of... well, the Force, probably.

She let out a grunt of pain, and her head felt clouded and weird.

Shaisha suffers 4 Strain.

Shaisha has a vision, of her father… he is torn between paths. In front of him is a vessel of light and behind him is a wound in the universe. She is inside the wound she calls out to him and he turns away and enters the light staining it, becoming a dark silhouette inside a blinding light.

Then she is back where she was.

Sylvain shook his head and said nothing. He stood up and looked around. He turned to the water and then looked at his reflection and then started laughing.

As she recovered, and the vision seemed to end... Shaisha blinked hard a few times as she oriented herself again.

You... I hate you...

She wanted nothing more than to get out of this stinking cave and run somewhere alone, but damnit, her common sense (what little there was of it) reminded her of the sandstorm outside.

"... Syl?" his laughter caught her a bit off-balance.

“Yes…” he replied after a long moment.

He turned and smiled.

Sensing the change, that knife she still held by the blade was flipped back into her hand and deftly slipped back into her boot before anything. Something was off, Sylvain was off, and the mood grew different. Whatever this was... she didn't like it, but she didn't know enough to start casting blame or deciding how to act.

Then, he turned and responded. Looking between the both of them who attempted it seeing that clearly something happened to change the mood but she couldn't tell very well on her own, she asked, "What happened?"

"Something's wrong..." Shaisha too tensed. Damn, she didn't want to fight Syl, but still she put her hand on the sword he had given her, ready to draw it at a moment's notice.

"I told you it was dangerous to listen," the old hermit said.

“The only thing wrong is that I should be in your body, at least then I would have familiar anatomy, but this will suffice. You, slave-wife, who do you serve?” he pointed at Shaisha.

“You stand in the presence of Magara-sha, First slave-wife of Juno Tul, you should be kneeling.”

I'm sorry to inform you, minister, that your son went bonkers in the Wastes when he tried to communicate with the planet...

"What's happened to hi-" she looked back at Spindral, then Syl spoke.

"Slave? SLAVE-WIFE?! I am no one's slave, or wife, for that matter!" Shaisha got up on her feet, angry like a Dromund Kaas thunderstorm.

Slowly Kristal rose to her feet, not sure which one she might need to pacify. The controlled Sylvain or the impassioned Shaisha. There was too little she knew about force ghosts in this form to make a proper decision, so she aimed to react. Kristal kept low, avoiding attention, certainly made a touch easier with Shaisha calling it to herself. It was a good spot to think and make decisions from.

If she had to, she figured she could control Sylvain physically, but there was no way of telling if that would pacify the abilities of what currently controlled him.

“I thought the same once but these warriors from the deep stars, they know the Force as we do and are stronger,” Sylvain said thoughtfully.

“One day I shall rise up and slay my husband,” he said with a wicked smile.

Sprindral started cutting meat into the steaming brother and added, “Ghosts do not always realize they are dead… or they waver in a state of confusion. I do not believe they experience time in a linear fashion… but what do I know you could all be illusions.”

"Look, your husband is probably long dead at this point, and by your hand, I hope," she took a wild guess that this was some sort of ghost possessing Syl. Spindral's words only enforced her suspicions.

"And my kind," she drew herself to her (very mighty 5'1") full height, "are the rulers of Korriban and the Empire."

“Oh… we reclaimed Korriban from the Star warriors?” she said with a curious tone.

“But you are so small… you look more like them than us,” he said walking towards Shaisha.

Bitch, I will cut you! Her eyes flared in anger.

No, no... don't stab Sylvain. It would be odd to explain that later. Especially to the Minister.

"I'm still a growing girl," she said defiantly. "But yes, the Sith are the rulers of the Empire. The true children of Korriban will not be cowed for long, as it's our destiny to dominate."

"Can it be subdued?" Kristal questioned Spindral with a lower voice. Still unsure of the things power and thus still attempting to not draw it's ire.

Meanwhile she waited for now, but as Sylvain .. or that ghost approaches Shaisha Kristal prepared herself to act anyway. There was no way she would come back and have to explain to both of their fathers what happened here, or even worse, her own.

Spindral nodded as he tasted the broth.

Sylvain rolled his eyes and focused on Kristal, “You… quiet one. You look like the Star warriors, but they are gone… are you slave to these new Sith?”
