The Dark Academy on Korriban

The merchant is firm on the price, but she will throw in a genuine not even fake replica sheath and her personal guarantee that if he dies she will refund his money, as long as death is due to the sword failing to perform as expected. It will also need a receipt and sword returned in same condition as sold.

This guarantee is void if sword taken into the Valley of the Dark Lords.

Sylvain chuckled to himself and reluctantly accepted the deal. "You drive a hard bargain."

(OOC: Stimpacks have the same 10% hike or are they more common?)

After buying the sword and the two stim-packs from the vendor, Sylvain put on the sword and turned to Xevine.

"How do I look now? More rugged? Dashing?"

She eyed him up and down. "No. Too many clothes on." Her face broke into a grin. "Korriban: One of three plaents on the Empire where you can make a living selling swords."

He smiled, "I'll have to find a suitable location to take off some of these clothes for you later then."

Then chuckling, "Why is it you've come all this way out here Aspirant Distraacht? Surely not just to see me. Is there anything you're looking for?"

Xevine rolled her eyes. "Well... it's going to take more than that."

She shrugged her shoulders and looked around. "I was hoping for something in the way of protection... the wildlife is far from tamed, and as much as I want to use the Force, I do think I shouldn't discount any mundane means of defense."

"So you're looking for armor? Or some other form of protection?" He asked.

"Armor mainly, especially if we are to go tomb raiding." She looked around, to see if she can find any armor merchants.

"Mind if I help?" He asked with a smile.

"I'm open to it..." she gestured to him to continue. "What's your idea?"

"Vendors don't tend to deal well with intimidation, but they can be bartered with. I'd hate to see you get screwed over by some merchant who's powerful patron wouldn't take kindly to you squishing their lackey's sorry excuse for a skull into dust."

Xevine smiled. "Who knew, you have a decent brain behind the pretty face..." She caught herself. What's going on with me? Must be the stupid planet...

"Well, it depends on how annoying the lackey is.... but sure, let's ask around for now." She gestured to him. "Aspirant, lead the way."

He smiled his pretty face and started walking around looking for the proper vendor.

As they walked he turned to look at her, "You said you were from Dromund Kaas?"

"Yes. And you, by the way?" She followed him, not far behind.

"Same." He said with a smile, "I wonder why I hadn't met you before. I think I'd remember you."

Xevine shrugged. "My father traveled a lot, and I was away at studying. Us Distraacht's are not big fans of socializing if it's not done on a battlefield or around a war table." She smiled. "We got where we are by utilizing our strengths..... though mother does like to intrigue now and then."

"I'll have to ask my father then. He always keeps up on all the valuable members of the military." He smiled.

"So when you aren't studying or scaring people, what is it you like to do with your moments of spare time? Spend much time in Kaas City?"

Xevine was silent. "You'd be surprised as to how little. Being an alien noble of non-Sith descent meant I was in for a... fun ride at the Academy. So I had to buckle down and do what I can as best."

She followed him from behind, though whether it unnerved Sylavin to look back to her was up to him. "And you? Any hobbies?"

For the most part Sylvain kept himself occupied by looking for the proper store rather than craning around to see her or worry about what she may be doing.

"Adventure. I enjoy going out and doing a bit of trouble... but try to avoid 'getting in' trouble." He said with a smile, "Also enjoy the simpler pleasures in life. Alcohol, music, women. All within tolerable levels though."

"Oh, an adventurer? And trouble? Who would've thought." She didn't laugh, but her smile was evident in her voice. "Tolerable levels, eh? Must be a lot of adventure in that. What do your companions say about that?"

He chuckled, "Both of them disagree, for opposite reasons. One wants more trouble, and the other less."

He stopped to look at a table with some different types of environmental clothing put out. "I tend to be more adaptable. If the night calls for drinks, music, recreational sex and or driving a speeder into a nest of wild animals, then so be it." He said with a smile, "If the night calls for decorum and control, so be it. Whatever fits the moment the best, I find enjoyment in mastering whatever situation I'm in."

Xevine chuckled. "Ah, so you are a stirrer of controversy Aspirant? Tsk tsk. I must remember that." She stepped up to be next to him, slightly inside his private zone. "And whatever is fitting at this moment?"

He smiled and turned to look at her with a mischievous glint in his eye, "I'd enjoy mastering this situation as well. Though I'm sure the lovely Miss Distraacht would not make it easy."

He then winked, "In fact I may very well not end up the winner... But being on the losing end isn't always the worst thing in the world, competition breeds growth. And growth is an exciting goal to pursue."

Xevine let out a sigh. "Oh, you would lose. It would be painful. I can tell you." She looked at him. "Two days on the planet, and I seemed to have acquired a puppy."
