The Dark Academy on Korriban

"There is an expedition planned for the future. I can see if she wants any more hands for it," he offers.

Sylvain nodded, "If it would be appropriate and I could be of use. I'd hate to be worthless in a situation like that. I'm not exactly a scholar or technician... which is what she is often looking for in help."

"I think in this case there's probably interest in warriors as well. It's a tomb that counts it's age in Millenia," he says. "No telling what's in there."

Torsin nodded with interest, "A tomb? Of whom?"

"I'll find out from Lord Zash whether you can come along on the expedition. Details about it floating around likely wouldn't make her happy since people could potentially try to find it first," Zeno says. "And cantinas have ears."

Sylvain nodded, "Wise choice. Let me know."

Hmmm... This changes things a bit...

"I definitely will. What have you been up to otherwise? Any adventures for you?"

"One this afternoon that resulted in this." He pointed to a bruise on his face.

"Sith Ghosts make for interesting dance partners."

"You were hit in the face by a ghost? That sounds a bit unpleasant," Zeno says, assuming the colloquial meaning of 'dance'.

He chuckled, "Surprising the things that those ghosts can do."

He smiled, "Met a crazy old man who knew how to get rid of her though. Made for an interesting afternoon."

"Crazy old men are apparently not so uncommon in the wastes apparently," he says with a smirk.

"Did you come across one as well?" He asked in response to that comment.

"I did. A man named Spindral. Had a pleasant conversation, showed me how to listen to Korriban, helped me identify the contents of an ancient tomb from the murals on the wall. He was a helpful sort," Zeno says, shrugging at that as the servant brought his water. He glared up at the man, apparently displeased with how long it took.

"Might have been the one I met too. Tried to teach us how to 'listen to Korriban' but instead invited the ghost we had the run in with." He shook his head and chuckled, "He ended up making it leave though, so all in all a pretty neutral encounter."

"Spindral?" Zeno asks. "I had a vision of a lord and his apprentice from long ago, but there were no ghosts."

"I didn't catch the old man's name. Had a beard, and a weird pet. Lived in a cave..." He said with a shrug.

"I don't remember any pet, but I do remember the beard. It's probably the same guy. Says he can't die, doesn't know how long he's been around, all that stuff. And he apparently moves around a lot. Wherever the planet tells him to go." Zeno takes a drink from his water.

"Sounds quite similar... Wish he'd has been as helpful with us." Sylvain takes the last of his drink.

"You must have impressed him."

"I don't know about that. He did say that listening to the planet could be dangerous. Sounds like you might have just got an earful of bad luck while trying to listen."

Sylvain nodded, "That might be the case. He said 'she' was upset and was unsettled... He seemed to be worried about it more than normal."

He shrugged again, "Maybe something to look out for."

"Hopefully it's not something that will haunt you in the future." Zeno does not acknowledge his own pun, and takes a drink of his water. "Perhaps you can make contact with her with a bit less violence and work things out using some aggressive negotiation?"

Sylvain shrugged, "I hope so... I'll have to do a bit of research."

Then clarified, "The 'she' the old man was talking about was Korriban itself though... We should all probably keep an eye out."

"Yeah. Well if he believes she has a mind of her own so perhaps one could communicate rather than just listen," Zeno says with a shrug. "I might give that a try and see what happens."

"Be ready. She can bite back." He replied knowingly.

"I'd be disappointed if she didn't. She's been steeped in blood and war so long." Zeno downs the rest of his water.
