He gently moved his fingers along her knuckles, "I could be convinced to help in such a venture."

"I could be convinced to let you take part in it."

She raised one brow and her lekku undulated, but she didn't withdraw her hand.

"Could you now?" He said coyly as he took her hand up to his lips and gently kissed it gently.

"I am considering it. Do you think you deserve being given a chance to?"

She sighed on being kissed, but her eyes remained cool.

He looked up into her eyes.

From deep in the recesses of his mind he heard an echo of something...

He shook off the strange voice and focused his mind on where he was, and what he was doing. That is not what he thought about her, so what was that?

Then looking with sincerity into her eyes he said, "Not yet."

He kissed her gently on the cheek, "Soon, perhaps. But not in my diminished state tonight. I feel I wouldn't be equal to the task."

"I have similar thoughts, Syl."

She whispered when he pecked her cheek. Her lekku softly brushed his neck in passing.

"I want to see you triumphant, not diminished. I look forward to a man who wills his way into the future."

He smiled in a self-deprecating manner, "I guess this is another failure for me today. This one's a little easier to swallow though."

He stretched out his neck, "With your help, next time I'll be sure not to fail."

He smiled again and said, "It's getting late..."

"A temporary setback is not a failure, Syl. Focus more on what's ahead. This is where your bounties are."

She smiled both cutely and wryly, no small feat, then rose from her seat.

"It's indeed the right time to give sleep a chance. Thank you for the evening."

"No problem." He said with a smile. "Have a good night Moyr."

He stood up and got ready to leave.

"Pleasant dreams, handsome."

She turned around and slowly walked away, leaving a view to hook those dreams onto in her passing.

Sylvain smiled as she left, if only his dreams were inhabited by the Twi'lek woman's image.

No... he was sure that his night would be a difficult one. As he drew nearer to sleep, the voice in his head became more and more present.

I gotta do something about this... It makes me far too vulnerable.

Sylvain walked the halls back to his room, wondering what exactly could be done.
