The Dark Academy on Korriban

Death’s shadow charges and rips into Zeno who has barely enough time to react. His blade deflects much of the damage but the massive teeth pierce into his flesh.

OOC: Death's Shadow charges into Zeno and it's massive maw clamps around his upper body sending blood flying even as he brings his blade around to reduce the damage as much as he can. Zeno uses Parry for 3 Strain reducing the 15 damage to 11 after soak, has Pierce 3! Death's Shadow will suffer 1 strain. Zeno takes 11 wounds. Death's Shadow has Adversary 2 and Melee Defense of 2.

Khalim steps forward to Pack #2 and swings his training saber at them, completely failing to do anything except fuck himself over more.

The pack snaps at him and work together to force the saber to go flying from his hand and clatter across the ground landing a few meters away. They press their advantage but only aid in making life easier for the other pack…

OOC: Despair to drop the weapon. Pack #2 gives Pack #1 a boost die.

[Can we spend Destiny to smash through somewhere and find an escape route?]

OOC: This is totally doable.

Well. Good news. They found Death's Shadow. Bad news, his name wasn't an acting pseudonym.

"Time for plan B...." She raised her sword.... and brought down in one of the looser places on the floor. "GRAAAAAAAAH! Let's get out of here!". She ushered the others forward, following as the last.

[OOC: Spend Destiny to escape!]

OOC: If running, you each can make a roll to try to aid the escape, need a total of 4 successes to escape, any threat is strain damage, failures deal wounds, Triumph is worth two successes. Despair deals a critical injury. I am upping the ante, 1 Destiny for each you to upgrade the roll, going to make it Average. I will let you pick the skill with justification.

OOC: Assuming we need 4 successs for the 3 of us.

Xevine ushred the others forward. "Pick. Up. The. Pace." She was setting a killer temp.

((OOC: Can I make a Move power check to try and grab the saber on the way out?))

OOC: Totally can.

((OOC: Also, considering the massive quantity of Destiny spent against us in this encounter, are we allowed to use more than the daily allotment of 2?))

Zeno tries his best to call on the force to aid his escape. But unfortunately it's only his destiny that helps.

Khalim reaches out a hand toward the saber laying on the floor, and it flies over into his hand. He then follows the Zabrak through the hole she created.

Suffers 1 strain

The trio are harried by tuk’ata and can hear Death’s Shadow smashing through walls to get to them until they find a narrow passage, that the massive tuk’ata can’t immediately follow. It smashes against the opening and it will be only seconds before it is upon them.

Well at least they escaped from Death’s Shadow… that was a success right? Assuming they kept moving.

Xevine stood at the rear. "Go, go go! I'll keep up." She held her sword firmly, her body shaking... whether from the vibrations going through the ship from the monster's battery, or from being so close to a worthy foe, she was unsure.

As he ran he took a moment to look down at himself, seeing himself covered in his own blood and many holes the size of large teeth. "Fuck..."

He snarls as he keeps moving, the adrenaline not letting him slow.

"Fuck..."

Khalim likewise keeps moving, while looking for anything that might be collapsed behind them to slow the creature down even further.

"Just keep running, Xevine!"

The trio makes a mad dash and escape the rusting hulk and they see a few tuk’ata come rushing up and pace at the edge but they do not pursue. There is a terribly howl that fills the night though air and dread seems to seep from every pore.

Yet they are alive.

As they escape to the outside Zeno makes his way to his speeder. "Damn monster." He coughs and a bit of blood sprays from his mouth when he does. "Son of a bitch. That was brutal."

Khalim also returns to his speeder and puts the survival pack back into storage.

"Fucking beast, getting in the way. But we escaped, at least. Even the Mandalorian mercenaries I spoke with the other day seemed concerned about that creature, so that says something."

He turns his attention to Xevine, "Good thinking and good work, on making the hole for our escape."

He pulls out his datapad and makes a couple notes of the coordinates of Romet Vun's tomb, and another note: Accidentally provide this information to people I want dead.

After he finishes typing, he turns his attention to Zeno, "How's your wound? It looked like you took quite the blow from that creature."

His top seems to be a dark crimson at this point, with how thoroughly his clothing is soaked through with blood. It is obviously dripping from his jacket's hem. "I've never been chewed on before. This is pretty damned terrible to be honest. And the adrenaline is starting to wear off. I'm going to have to leave soon and get back fast if I'm going to not pass out while driving this thing." He throws a leg over the speeder and cringes from the pain. "Or bleed to death on the way back. Fuck."

"Hang on."

Khalim reaches into a pocket on his utility belt and produces a stim pack, which he tosses to Zeno.

"That way you won't bleed out."

Catching it and looking it over to orient it properly he looks to the pure blood, "Thanks. I'll replace it when I get a chance."

He then jabs himself in the side of his neck with it and holds it there as he feels it work it's magic. "Shit."
