The Dark Academy on Korriban

The woman sees her lightsaber fly from her hand and clatter on the floor. She leaps up and kicks off Sylvain flipping backwards and landing next to her lighsaber. She looks up and says, “I can feel your anger, Sith.”

As she lands the lights flicker, creating a strobe light effect.

OOC: Attack misses she moves to Short range, the lights flash and then flicker.

Init: PC, PC, Fallen Jedi. Sense is active for first attack Upgrades difficulty, Adversary 1 with Melee Defesen 1.

When the Dark Jedi leapt away, it offered Kristal an opportunity. Dashing forward she spoke with a voice not unlike a cool flame, "Anger can become a tool."

A statement made just as a blade cut flesh, striking the Dark Jedi after that daring dash forward. Seeming to almost appear and disappear under the flickering lights. Making her approach all the more difficult to track. There was a moment of pride that followed, brief, but in the flickering lights it allowed her opponent...

The Jedi is cut deep the blade sending blood splatter across the floor. At such close proximity the older woman head butts Kristal to keep her off balance.

OOC: Jedi takes 5 wounds after soak and Kristal takes 1 strain.

Here goes nothing. Sylvain says to himself as he tries to strike the Jedi again.

The Jedi ducks under the strike grabs her lightsaber and then swings with a wide arc towards Kristal, the deadlier of the two foes in her eyes. The strike is deadly nearly gutting her.

OOC: Kristal takes 9 damage, spend a Destiny to increase to 12 damage total. Breach 1 so ignores soak. Adversary 1, Melee Defense 1 and Sense for first attack to Upgrade the difficulty.

Sylvain saw the blade strike Kristal and let out a yell, "NO!"

Focusing all he could, he pulled out a stimpack and jabbed it into Shaisha's arm. "You gotta finish her." He said quickly as he swung his blade at the Dark Jedi.

The fallen Jedi was calm and easily avoided the strike as if she knew where it would be before the young aspirant made his strike. Her defenses were tight and focused on Kristal, once she was dealt with she could easily finish Sylvain…

Barely missing, perhaps she stepped back at the right moment but Kristal could have almost sworn that it was the end when she saw that flash of blue dash across her stomach. However it wasn't, the blade didn't move in deep enough. Still alive, if incredibly numbed to every bit of pain. Kristal needed to push forward. It was her only chance, perhaps their only chance. She needed to take down this Fallen Jedi. Now. From the side, Kristal's blade moved in and then cut up across the womans torso. It was a clean hit, cutting deep, but would it be enough to fell a former Jedi?

Kristal could only hope.

The Jedi felt that one, it cut deep and she kicked Kristal back and then dropped to a knee for a moment before drawing on her growing rage and launched at the Sith aspirant with a cool fury. She collides with a solid knee to the chest and then stabs the lightsaber through her chest… she collapses as the Jedi rolls to the side and looks at Sylvain.

“Just you and me little Sith,” she said calmly.

OOC: The Jedi suffers a Critical Injury, she is Compromised and increase the difficulty of all checks by 1. Kristal takes another 8 Damage and suffers a Critical Injury. Breach 1 ignores her soak. It is now the PCs turn, she has Adversary 1, Senses will Upgrade the Difficulty by another 1 and Melee Defense 1.

"Damn it Kris, stay up!" Sylvain stuck another stimpack into the arm of the falling acolyte and took aim at his opponent to try and finish her off.

Sylvain struck true, the fallen Jedi blinked as the lesser of the two in her eyes cut her deep. She fell to her knees and her lightsaber clatters to the ground. She utters, “There is only… peace…”

She is dead.

Sylvain puts his foot squarely the Jedi's chest and kicks her body to the floor.

Bending over he picks up the lightsaber in his hand and puts it on his belt.

Turning to Kristal with a look of worry he asks, "You alright Kris?"

Kristal coughed violently as the Stimpak flew through her system, shocking her back to consciousness. Combat, she was in combat, her hand went to her sword instinctively before she could even think about what was happening. The last she recalled was the Jedi's eyes, victorious eyes, and then... the ground.

Pushing herself from the ground she prepared herself to jump forward in one last attack annnd... she was dead, the Dark Jedi was dead. Sylvain standing over her corpse. It was.. a relief.

Allowing herself that she rolled over onto her back, the sword that was previously in hand clanging to the ground. It was cold in here still, or perhaps that was just the sweat that drenched her. Not even inspecting the seared wound left in her chest by that Jedi, in truth not even aware of it. She was breathing, Sylvain looked fine, and as far as she was concerned everything worked out.

Now... now she just needed a rest. Breathing heavily as she lay on the ground, but stable.

"I am... I am fine," she speaks, but her voice is strained from the exhaustion of having been stabbed and slashed by a rather impressive weapon. It worked out as she intended but damn did it hurt.

Sylvain, possibly overcome by the moment, reached down and kissed Kristal on the forehead, "You were brilliant Kris."

He propped her up a bit against a wall.

"I'm going to take Thy into the Archives and get what we came for. Then we'll be going back. Okay? You'll be okay for just a sec?"

Too weak to argue about it, Sylvains words and actions were allowed without much thought to them. Not at the moment.

Pushing herself to seem alright, she spoke with a confident if still tired voice, joking, "As long as that one remains down, I will be fine."

Resting her head back against the wall she kept her eyes open. Always vigilant, as she was.

Slyvain nodded. He walked over to the Jedi and withdrew the lightsaber from his belt. Igniting it quickly, he struck down and severed the woman's head from her body.

"That should do it." He said with a smile. "I'll be right back."

Picking up the Holocron, which had remained active for the duration of the fight, Syl carried it into the archives a short distance away. "Come on Thy."

He hooked up his datapad and Thy to the archives and asked her to download the information as fast as she could.

Desecrating a body in such a way, Kristal avoided allowing the grimace that would have naturally come to her to show. Merely watching until Sylvain was out of sight. When he was, she did what she figured would worry him. Through her weakened state, through the pain, she pushed herself up off the wall and moved over to the Fallen Jedi's body.

It was a slight hope given that Jedi were rarely known to carry much of anything in terms of possession. However, she desired to know the woman's Identity. She wanted to know who she just killed. Who almost killed her. Searching her for anything that might enlighten her.

All she has is thick robes and a holo pendant.

The Jedi holocron has been silent and when attached she speaks sadly, "I have access."

"Excellent. Get what you can." He said, in a worried tone. Obviously he was concerned about his friend in the hall.

Then pausing he asked, "Something wrong Thy?"

Taking the holopendant in hand Kristal examines it a bit more in depth.

[Just jewelry, or are we talking possible information storage device type deal?]

It has a hologram of two Jedi taking a selfie, one is Thy and the other is possibly a much younger version of the dead woman, who appears even younger than Thy.

It repeats through a variety of selfie holograms that young people make together.
