The Dark Academy on Korriban

“That was Dala, she was a padawan when I saw her last, probably 15 maybe 14. She wasn’t my padawan, but I trained her when I could, she was the sweetest girl. To think she has been trapped here all this time… all those years on Korriban… alone,” she said softly.

“That is terrible.”

OOC: The database is in a poor state, the systems have not been maintained in decades and data is degrading. It can be given to Thy to store but she surely won’t give it up to the Empire or they can give the Data to the Empire and get a Grad Point. Of course that would betray Thy and she may refuse to work for Sylvain.

Cold heart, perhaps that was the image she cultivated. Still..

Removing the necklace from the woman took a small bit of effort. It didn't need to have thanks to Sylvain's actions, but she intended on being as respectful as possible. Perhaps it would seem odd to anyone else. Perhaps it would even seem mad. However, she ensured the woman looked respectable. Even in death. This woman had been a warrior and she fought well. Battle had decided that she was to die, but it was an honorable death, one that she may have given Kristal if it were not for Sylvain.

With a sigh, she rose. Leaving the woman's side she placed herself back where Sylvain had left her. Relaxing her head against the wall. It was almost as if she hadn't moved.

"I'm sorry. I tried to let her live... but she wouldn't stop. It must have been difficult to be left behind for so long. You gonna be okay?" He asked with a sincere voice and sincere heart.

"Why don't you store what you can and let's get going? I got my friend out there in trouble... maybe we can hear about yours on the way home. Or whenever you're ready... she fought quite valiantly, defending her duty to the end."

(OOC: Electing to let Thy store the information)

Thy stores the data, and says, "She died a Jedi, she is one with the Force. I will mourn her, not."

Sylvain nodded, "There aren't any better deaths than that."

Unplugging the holocron from the computer Sylvain rushed back to Kristal's side.

Kristal glanced up to Sylvain as he re-entered the room. The holopendent safely tucked away in a pocket that was not compromised by the battle that took place here. Before he could even attempt it Kristal used the back wall to push herself to her feet. It was a lot easier than she thought it should be, given her wounds. Never had she been stabbed before, and certainly not by a lightsaber.

"Time to go then," she said confidently, assured that would be the only reason for Sylvain's return.

Sylvain smirked as he saw her rise. Then took on a very deliberate and serious posture.

"I'm only going to say this once. You will let me help you. I won't have my beautiful and brace friend bleed out on our way home out of stubbornness."

"Is this what the Sith call flirting?" Thy says.

"No, usually what the Sith call flirting is just grumbles and yelling.." Kristal responded with her usual tone which made it a touch more humorous, that it was intended as a joke was clear sign the pain was getting to her a bit.

"Regardless," she continued, that S at the end getting the little extension from her Imperial accent. Creating the sliver of space between it and the rest of the sentence. "It was a lightsaber, the wound won't cause me to bleed out."

There was a confidence there, and she was right but of course that didn't necessarily mean it was any less difficult. Kristal was, of course, stubborn as he called her out on preemptively. Didn't mean she still wouldn't try.

"You can aid me by driving when we reach the speeder."

"Unless you suddenly became a doctor during that fight, I'm gonna have to doubt you know all that well what is happening inside your body right now."

He looked stern, "Walk beside me. If you feel faint then grab on. The story I'll tell is that you walked out of here on your own power. But I'm not about to let you hurt yourself more."

Kristal merely nodded in response for that bit, looking forward.

"Lead the way then."

Smiling at his microscopic victory, Sylvain stood right beside Kristal and held his arm out for her if she needed it.

"Let's get you home."

Sylvain led the way out of the facility and back to their speeder.

"Yes... before I have to help you kill another Jedi," she said with a slight smirk.



Slowly the two of them made their way back to the speeders. Cold nipping at exposed skin, it was a painful and trying trip down. Only ever needing to rely on Sylvain a bit as they climbed down the icy steps.

Soon, they would be home.
