Now THOSE are interesting ships

Three Mandalorians are working on a ship, two human males and a male rodian. They are doing some maintenance work and don’t notice the sith aspirant admiring their ships.

"Perhaps," she covered her lips casually, as though in thought, though perhaps more to hide her vindictive smile. "Or perhaps ve are like our Sith swordz, outmoded und replaced vith a superior veapon."

It was clear she didn't necessarily mean what she said.

"Outmoded by a weapon that is easier to wield. But the secrets of the old weapons are lost due to most warriors being too lazy to learn them," Zeno replied.

There was a light rustle of her veil as she turned away from the Sith-blooded man to hide her smirk. She took in a sharp breath and crushed whatever emotion she was experiencing until her face regained it cold composure.

"I zaid much zhe same to ser Torsin yesterday morning. It iz az zhough you are just saying vhat I vant to hear, zo close are your thoughtz to mine."

"I want power. Would it be so bad if I said what you wanted to hear to get it?" he asks with a smirk. "Especially if what I am saying aligns with that goal?"

"So long as it benefits me," she quipped in an amused tone.

"I wouldn't dream of not returning the favor," he says with a smile. "Everything has a cost."

Baesal continued her inspection of the installation, wandering near the couple.

She gives a not to them both but did not interrupt, prefering ship and machinery.

Whether she meant to or not, the alien had interrupted them, of a fashion. Jun-Tsu did not seem perturbed by it, however, and merely turned to offer a nod to Baesal.

"It would seem our fellow acolytes are beginning to gather, it must not be long before we will depart." She spoke to Zeno.

Looking to Baesal, he nods as well. "That would seem to be the case. Perhaps we can get together in the future to discuss at length what we might be able to do for each other."

"I'm sure you'll find me again...if it is the will of the Dark Side." She looked to Baseal again appraising the woman from where she stood.

"You two met yet?" he asks, but doesn't really give time to answer.

"Jun-Tsu of House Farro, Baesal Zyn." He indicates each woman in turn as an introduction.

As they had already greeted one another, the witch didn't bother nodding again only looking graciously at Zeno for his introduction, "You competed adeqvately in yesterday's trial, zhough I only got to vitness your prowess in zhe combat exam."

Baesal was taken away from her notes and estimations and was mildly inconvenienced. Still she understood the need to meet new people so she approached with a smile

"Nice to meet you Lady Jun-Tsu. I am afraid my performance was less then adequate, however. I am just lucky to have an appreciation for explosives."

She scratched her chin, trying to recall.

"If memory serves, you did much better"

"It iz to be expected. I come from a lineage vhich has passed down zhese vays for ower a millennia. You, howewer, unless I am mistaken, have little breeding to fall back on."

She knew that some would be pissed by this but it was true

"This is a correct assumption to make Lady Jun-Tsu. I don't recall anyone in my family having the gift."

She cocked her head with interest

"So you come from a veneable Dynasty? Could you tell me about your house? Are you pilots like the Deathwrights?"

"Oh no," she smirked. "Nothing like zhe Deathrights. No, v'one could say ve vere....scholars of zhe Dark Side. Ve have been called alchemists, sorcerers, but if ve are being candid ve have long been priestz of zhe Dark Side, upholding zhe old vays. Rites to commune vith zhe Dark Side, und become wessals to itz vill."

Still, Baesal was surprised she could pronounce 'Deathwright' somewhat properly. She had expected her to say Deasvright, Deafvright or something.

''Priest? That is certainly uncommon.''

"Uncommon but welcome. At least to me. To be able to understand the dark side as they do... we need more among the leadership of the empire that serve it so faithfully." Zeno looks to Jun-Tsu.

''I don't know much about these things, I'm pretty much only trained in mechanic and computing.''

''That certainly sound impressive Lady Jun-Tsu'' she said, nodding

"From what I've gathered in our conversations, Jun-Tsu is an exemplary member of her family, destined to master their traditions. Perhaps that is why I am drawn to her," he replies, looking from Baesal to Jun-Tsu.

"V'one should always be drawn to powver. It iz a zign of ztrenght. Hovewer, I am but a nowice in zhe vays of mein House. Zhe vill of zhe Dark Side takes many lifetimez to tame. I have decades and centuries of study left before I am equal to mein teacher."
