The Dark Academy on Korriban

“Have the slaves forgotten?” the Void Engine says.

"It iz best to show you, but yes, much of zhe ancient days are gone. Few remember your empire or zhe miracles you wrought. Few remember ewen zhe primordial Je'daii, Dark Bogan or Light Ashla, orders so ancient to us but still unconvinced vhen you reigned."

The Void Engine begins her education of the Infinite Empire of the Rakata, she finds a device similar to a holocron but much more complex and drenched in the dark side. It seems to collect latent force energy and use it as a power source. It is a black sphere but if she touches it, she can communicate the Void Engine.

It is about the size of an apple.

Though she was understandably hesitant, she navigated the darkness with her hand light and upon spying the thing she let her hand hover over it. In truth it was an object of intense beauty. A creation infinitely more advanced...but what was it's purpose? Why did it draw the Dark Side into it?

Finally she let her hand fall daintily upon its surface, lifting it with both hands for fear of fragility, but in truth it seemed quite solid. "How remarkable you are."

With that she asked without a word how to navigate out of this place, if it happened to know. It seemed that gap was not the proper method of egress.

The device seems to have rudimentary knowledge it turns out it was moved to this location by the sith that was enshrined here. Nudra Min, an ancient sith from before the coming of the Jed’aii and he created a bloody kingdom. His death precipitated the collapse of his lands into warring states.

They worshiped the Void Engine as a god.

"One can see why," Jun-Tsu let her eyes settle over the device, watching, or rather feeling, the flow of the Dark Side that flowed through and around it. You truly are the Umbră-Ușoară, the Dark light. Without much help form the device, however, it would mean she had to shift through the gap once more, though perhaps it would be easier this time now that she knew it.

She packed away the orb for the moment, only for as long as it would take her to pass through the hole. When she had successfully made it to the other side (assuming a roll isn't needed) she sat against the wall. She could hear the storm still raging outside. She would be here until it passed.

But that only meant that it gave her time to learn of this Void Engine.

(and this can be the end of the scene if you wish. Really the only other piece of information she'd really be searching for is figuring out what the Void Engine was supposed to be and do.)
