The Dark Academy on Korriban

Jun-Tsu walked the halls of the academy as she had for so many weeks. Progress, she felt, had been slow, and though she could feel the benefits of her training, she felt as though she were focusing on the wrong thing. House Farro had many traditions, martial included, but this perpetual focus on bodily refinement was getting in the way of her true pursuits.

For weeks she had tried to find time to visit Lord Savas in private, but each time lessons or timing had kept her from her task. If anyone could understand her, her desires, and her needs, it was their venerable teacher. Approaching his office chambers, the acolyte collected herself and attempted a disciplined and mature air.

Lord Savas was at his desk, seated and looking over an actual paper text. Ophelia his slave is holding a magnifying device to aid his reading. He does not look up and says, “Aspirant?”

"Lord Sawas," she offered a bow of her head as was the custom of her House, hands partially raised before her. "I'm thankful to finally have a moment to speak with you outside of lectures."

"Zhough you probably alvready know, zhis one iz Jun-Tsu Farro, und I have been seeking knovledge on zhe tombs in zhe Valley of zhe Dark Lordz. None here iz more knovledgeable about zhe history of zhe Sith nor zheir vays. I vonder, does zhe name Nudras Min, mean anyzhing to you? I have discowered v'one of zhe tombs in zhe valley iz in honor of zhem, but have not found much beyond zhat."

He taps the desk and says, “Ancient sith before they had achieved space flight, petty conqueror and sith sorcerer. I have seen images of his tomb, there does not seem to be a way inside. This era of history is rife with warlords, he was unique in that he believed he had a god on his side. Called it the Black Void or some such.”

“You would know this if you read Sith a Collected History, Volume 17.”

"Wolume, sewenteen?" She repeated. "Iz a copy awailable in our records? I vould wery much like to read it. I have studied zhe ancient force traditions, but my own family lineage comes from zhose Dark Je'daii of Bogan, not from zhe primordial Sith."

“I will have a copy sent to your terminal,” he replies closing the book. Ophelia dutifully moves back into the shadows.

“Your family is ancient, I am surprised you have come so far from home. I am aware of your history, your reason for being here now?”

"Zhe tree vhich does not pollinate vith ozhers vill bear ill fruit. It behoowes [behooves] House Farro, from time to time, to zeek out zhe teachings of zhe era to assess zhem for merit und to bring zhem back to zhe homevorld. Ve have, for ower a century diworced ourselwes from zhe core vorlds of zhe Stygian Caldera. It iz time to zee vhat has become of zhe Academy und zhe young bloodlines."

"I have been chosen to zee first hand zhe changes in our absence. It has proven, often, satisfactory. Your presence carries zhe utmost respect among mein House und speaks highly of zhe continued excellence of zhe Academy."

“No, why are you in my office right this moment,” he says with some exasperation.

"I had hoped you would have knowledge on Nudras Min. You have provided and I am grateful. I suppose, however, zhat I zeek zhings vhich you do not normally teach. Zhat iz to zay, you are v'one of zhe only professors of zhe Academy who can continue mein training in the arts of Sith sorcery. Vhile I continue to listen vith great interest to your lectures on zhe history of zhe Sith, I have, for near a month now, been unable to continue my inner refinement, zhe path of mein House."

"I offer mein services if you vould but help me to continue mein studies in zhe sacred arts of the Dark Side. Each day I fall behind mein siblings who study vith mein great-grandmuter."

“The curriculum of the Sith is designed with a purpose, not the witchcraft and mysticism of your backwater homeworld. It may not be how you like it, but it produces results. Your siblings will be nothing compared to you, well maybe not you specifically but a student that graduates this Academy,” he says tapping the desk.

“How can you help me, and speak up my hearing is not so good. I don’t just share the dark secrets of the Sith to any babbling idiot that stumbles into my office, mind you.”

"Zhat iz reassuring to hear, but I am no veak-villed neophyte like zome zent to be slaughtered on zhe sands of Korriban. Malign zhe practices of mein House if you vish, but I am apparently zhe first to enter zhe tomb of Nudras Min in an eon."

"Dizagree vith mein methods, but zhe vill of zhe Dark Side drew me to zhe valley, und deigned to reveal itself to me. Spirits of zhe Umbră-Ușoară [Dark-light] are not known for zhere velcoming demeanor, but I have a rapport vith zhe Dark Side. Perhapz a rapport zhat can be taken advantage of."

“Dumb luck and an elevated sense of self-importance are useful traits to some. We have a library, it needs a librarian. You like finding things that get lost, have at it,” he says tapping the table.

She smiled coyly, "A zhousand zhanks, mein Lord. I shall set to zhe task. Might I have your recommendation if asked by zhe custodians?"

“I recommend you read the Ziost Odyssey, it is a short 965 pages over three volumes,” he says tapping the desk.

“That should keep you busy. Now go and organize the library.”

She bowed her head in thanks, and left wordlessly. In all honesty that conversation had gone infinitely better than even she predicted. Her smile continued as she parted the Sith Lord's company and walked the gloomy halls of the professorial chambers.

Organize zhe library....yes.
