The Dark Academy on Korriban

Remmington stops by the administration building to do some part time work as a mechanic. Something always needs fixing or maintenance. Plus with the slave revolt early, finding work is not a problem.

Niriti reaches the administration building for the second time today. After the slave revolt she finds it hard to stay in her room and prefers to watch how things are back to normal, and the slaves are back to cleaning up the mess that they have caused.

She starts on an order against someone, when she realizes she recognizes the figure from behind, specially from the lower behind. "Remmington!" she calls in surprise to the man as she skips up.

Remmington turns to her and gives her a wave and smile. "Hey Niriti. How are you doing there? Oh, better not get too close. I don't want to get your nice clothes dirty."

"What are you doing?" She questioned as she looked at him all greased up and in a strange working clothes. She kept her distance, as he had warned her to, and looked at what he was working on.

Remmington finishes what he is doing quickly and then grabs a towel to wipe off the grease and dirt. He washes his hands and cleans them before walking over to Niriti.

"Just doing some work for the academy. Just some repairs and maintenance on some equipment and droids that were damaged."

He fishes out a small slim lightsaber hilt from his pack and hands it over to Niriti. "Here. I hope you like it. I worked hard to make it suit you." He smiles proudly at her.

Niriti takes the Hilt with interest. She turns it on her hand, moves it up and around, testing the balance of the hilt. "Amazing." She replies with interest. "Can't wait to try it with a crystal."

She stepped up close to him, and despite some grease still clung to him, she kissed him softly on his lips thanking him, and pushed some strands of hair back behind his ear, as it had gotten out of place from the work.

"I can understand you working out to get some money, I already have spent all the savings I had myself."

Remmington savours that sweet kiss. "When we get some crystals, I'll work on your saber again. Let me know how you want me to modify your crystal then."

He nods at her words. "Yeah, these things are credit sinks but well worth the money. Still I need to get more to improve my saber so it can be the best that it can be."

"modifications?" She drew down her brow in wonder. "What type of modifications can be applied to the final saber?

"Work can be done on the hilt or the crystal itself. Hilts can be customized to suit your fighting style better. Crystal modifications depend on the crystals but generally things like more damage, penetration ability, weapon sundering, etc." Remmington gives a quick explanation.

"Very interesting" She gazed at the hilt thinking that it was best to improve the hilt rather than getting a new one done. "Might be good to make the hilt a bit more accurate, since my ability in combat is rather modest compared to that of others such as yourself."

Remmington nods. "Well a couple of ways we can go about that. With a curved hilt it makes it better to handle as a finesse weapon but only against single opponents. I could modify it further to make it easier to defend with but that is an additional modification. The curved hilt usually goes for around 1,000 credit. A superior hilt customization make your saber more like an extension of your own body but is significantly more expensive. Those usually cost 5,000 credits and can't be modified any further. Plus with the shoto saber, after putting in the crystal there will only be enough space for either a better hilt or a modification."

"I'm not a duelist, so I don't see the need of making it curved. I would rather improve it to make me more able defending myself." She replied with a meditative manner. "I'll wait onto the time when I have the money to think on how to spend it." She added with a smile.

Remmington nods. "That is a reasonable idea. Hopefully we will get something out of helping with the slave revolt today. Not that I helped very much."

"Oh, you missed out on a great fun then." She reacted to the topic with a grin. "I managed to catch one of them, and was able to show them that revolting against the Empire is not an option."

Remmington nods. "That's good. Everyone should know their place within the Empire. Do you think they'll make good on the reward that was promised?"

"I sure hope so!" She added with a special glint in her eye with the thought of the incoming credits. "I'm all out of credits, and that for a merchant is almost insane!"

Remmington chuckles. "That is true. I'm doing what I can. Though the modifications I want for my saber are going to be expensive. Getting the credits and a crystal for free will be nice."

"We've only been here for 4 days, Remmy dear, don't rush things... if you rush them, you don't enjoy them." She tapped his head, what seemed to be the cleanest part of the man, with the tip of her long index finger. "Caution is the way to success. Like the spider, you must lay out your thread and await for the time in which your desires come close to you. Like the way you have appeared to me and brought me pleasure."

/ There was a 3 week time skip between day 3 and 4. /

Remmington chuckles. "I know that you lose track of time when you are with me honey but we have been here for almost a month now."

"Though things like saber parts are really hard to get so I find that you got to enter the tiger's lair so to speak in order to get the reward." He grins

"I meant till we got the hilt." She grinned while her face flush slightly. "Then an extra couple weeks till we got the crystals, and now we are ready to defend ourselves properly."

"So you know how many others may have their lightsabers finished?"

"Well building your own lightsaber is a rather rewarding experience I have to say." Remmington nods in agreement. "It will be nice to have a proper weapon."

"I don't know how many off hand, though I know Layne found one. A pretty nice one at that. It's ancient and is a black blade."

So she has a powerful blade.... she noted to herself as her eyes stuck to Remmy's "That has probably caused jealousy among many in the academy. Gained her some enemies, since her arrogance has probably grown."

"I think she already had enemies from the start. Though I think some may be giving her some grudging respect now that she is the Little Wrath." Remmington agrees.

"Sith and jealousy often go hand and hand with ambition and arrogance."

"I find her to be a nuisance." Niriti had no love for the former slave. Her manners where of a brat, and should not be tolerated. A sith was not a stupid bully. A Sith is an artist in its way, a perfect weapon, and all that the woman had proven to be was an intimidating warrior. Could she last outside of a battle.

"So she has many suck ass after her."

"Some people are attracted to power. More obvious displays." Remmington comments as he is finishing up his clean up.
