The Dark Academy on Korriban

Remmington heads out to the deep wilds on a speeder that he borrowed. He is following a lead on some info he came upon. He decides to wear his spacesuit just in case. Not knowing what the environment may be like he decides to be better safe than sorry. He carries a training saber with him.

The speeder is swept up in the flash flooding and batted about before a large wave slams Remmington into a canyon wall. The vehicle stalls and sparks fly as he is thrown clear into the water.

OOC: Athletics Average but with two setback due to weather and rushing water. Spent Destiny for bad things.

Remmington counts himself lucky to have decided to wear the spacesuit. At least he saves himself from getting all wet as he swims to safety from his fall into the river. Though in hindsight he probably should not have come out during the flooding.

He looks around to get his bearings.

Not sure if it makes a difference but till use Dark Side for another advantage. Then 2 advantage for a Boost die to my next roll.

Remmington pulls himself out the water onto a muddy outcropping and overhang.

"Now where am I?" Remmington wonders as he tries to locate the speeder or at least a way back.

OOC: Perception Average with a setback due to weather.

Remmington looks around but sees nothing. "What should I do now?" He takes out his datapad to check if we can locate himself on the map.

Perception/Cunning. 1eA+1eP+2eD+1eS = 0 successes, 1 threat


Forgot Boost die. 1eB = 0 successes, 1 advantage


Cancels threat. 0 successes.

He has little options he can't see the speeder, he can either try swimming through the fast currents or try and climb up ravine.

Not wishing to get even further away from the speeder Remmington decides to climb up the ravine.

Remmington begins climbing the ravine. When it starts becoming a little too much for his own purely physical ability he taps into the Force for assistance he needs to climb out.

He takes a moment to catch his breathe and once again surveys his surroundings.

Dark Side for 1 success.

It’s dark and raining heavily from his vantage point he can see the glinting of metal quickly moving away from him. Probably the speeder in a rushing torrent of crimson muddy waters far below in the ravine before it disappears.

There are flashes of light and the roll of thunder and rugged terrain all around.

If he wants to make it home calling for a pickup from the security is his bet. Unless he wants to plod ahead in this weather.

Remmington sighs and pulls out his CommLink to make a call. Looks like this expedition was a wash. He looks around for some shelter or at least a place where the pick up ship can easily land. At least he was dry in his spacesuit.

A transport ship descends from the sky some thirty minutes later and Captain Harad is revealed with the side door is pulled back. He scowls and says, “What in the bloody hell are you doing out here in this mess?”

“Get your arse in here.”

Remmington quickly enters the transport ship. "Swimming apparently. Thanks for the pick up. It is appreciated." Once inside he opens the helmet of his spacesuit.

Captain Harad does not seem to appreciate the humor and says, “You’re bloody lucky.”

“You children and your tomb hunting; it’s like you rush off to die for nothing.”

Remmington shrugs. "I cannot argue that. Such is the Sith way. They throw us into a river and see who swims to safety."

"Remmington Thalalas by the way. Once again you have my thanks." He gives the officer a salute.

“Captain Harad, well I would say be more careful but I know that will fall on deaf ears,” he says to the aspirant.

Remmington nods. "Well I will try to not cause you as much trouble as possible. I guess the Academy has been keeping you busy Captain Harad?"

“The students more so than the academy, you kids have a tendency to turn up dead,” he says grimly.

Remmington nods at that and asks. "How many students have died so far?"
