She laid back on her chair

''Well...a fourth member is up to you.''

"Damn, a fourth? You really want to split the loot up that bad, huh?"

''Not if the traps are dangerous enough to kill him...'' she gives a grin

''You are the boss of that expedition so it is up to you.''

"We'll see. I have to think on it. Let's meet tomorrow and see if we can get it done?"

She looked toward the droid.

"You still want this thing?"

“But Master, I can do so many things. I am programmed to provide social support, cooking, language identification, and caretaking tombs. I have a vast knowledge of poetry as well. I can be quite useful,” the droid replies dutifully.

She nods ''Yes I do. If I can analyse his programming I can turn that into an edge for our exploration of the black pyramid.''

"Well, have at it, I guess."

Hopefully, the droid didn't have like a secret compartment with the doomsday weapon Layne has always wanted or anything like that. But if that had been the case, Lord Oshin would probably have been screaming in her ear this whole time.

''Great!'' Baesal exclaimed before turning to the droid

''Greetings! I am Baesal Zyn and from now on I'll be you master and caretaker. What is your designation?''

“I am R5-T8, greetings Master Zyn. If I may say my last master was not the most pleasant of sentient beings, I look forward to serving you and watching your tomb for the next few thousand years,” the droid replies.

"So," she said casually after the droid just insulted her. "when are you going to take this thing apart?"

''While I am glad with having you on board I will not have a tomb for you to guard for, I hope so, a very long while.''

She turned around him, observing.

''I will likely have you act as an assistant for the time being R5-T8. I'll start by familiarizing myself with your computing processes so that eventual upgrades might go smoothly and I gain better understanding of it for the black pyramid exploration.''

''Can you transfer such information as well as your specs to my datapad?''

She then turns to Layne

''I not likely to do so. He might be...special but I can probably make better use of him in the future.''

She sighed heavily once she learned the droid wasn't ending up as scrap after that comment of his.

"Whatever, just be sure to remember my generosity."

''Don't worry Layne...unlike many on this planet I know the value of cooperation and respect.''

''If you need further help fell free to call...here is my number''

"I might do that," she said as they exchanged contact info. "Still need a... shoto... hilt, after all."

She was kind of proud of having memorized that term.

''That is quite doable.''

She hangs back and crosses her legs, thinking.

''I have been extraodinarely busy lately so I can't guarantee *when* I can make one but I am willing to if you provide me with the pieces. Then again you'll need your white crystal so there is no haste''

"Excellent," she said.

And then things turned awkward as she had to figure out how to end a conversation without telling the other person to fuck off and choke on their own vomit.

"Err... I got a thing later, so... I'll leave you to it with the droid."
