The Dark Academy on Korriban

"Where'd you come across this Jedi? Travel much into neutral space before you came?" Sylvain looked intrigued. He'd wished he'd met an actual Jedi before. Holocrons didn't really count, there was no danger involved there.

"Actually I did a bit with my father, we used to go out on hunting and survival trips in neutral space. But this Force vision was on Korriban. Weird huh?" Jo'ren contemplated that time in the Wilds and was silent for a time. Whatever happened to Thy Yulani I wonder?

"I expect once we graduate we'll meet quite a few. Although I don't think they'll be that pleased about meeting me." He spun the blade a few times to punctuate the comment.

He chuckled, "I'm sure they won't. Though I hope they are pleased to see me, makes it easier to dispose of them in my case."

"Hah, too true!" He laughed and resumed a few drills. "So where are you planning on going after you Graduate? Got your eye on a particular posting, or Master?"

"I like keeping my options open, but working for Lord Baras has some appeal for me." He said honestly. "You?"

"Anyone with enough power and drive to place me in a good position." He replied easily. "I'm out to impress, and find a Master who will push me beyond my limits."

He thought about what he had heard of the various potential Masters. "Wasn't Lord Baras Darth Vengean's apprentice at one time? I met Darth Vengean at the party after our Orientation exams. I don't recall meeting Lord Baras though, what is he like?"

"He is a personal friend of my father's. He's very much a master of the type of arts that I have dedicated myself to. He recently acquired a post here on Korriban. He'll be crucial in our war efforts going forward; he's a brilliant strategist and leader." Sylvain replied.

Jo'ren nodded at the response.

"So, as his apprentice, you see yourself as taking a leading role in the war against the Jedi and the Republic?" He spun the training saber a few more times. "Sounds like you'll be a good man to know, Sylvain Torsin."

"That is the plan Aspirant Rath. It is a difficult path, no doubt, but one I am worthy to forge for myself."
